Entertaining movie but agree about the Condon story. That has been done so many times and is so predictable and trite. I think it would have been refreshing for them to decide not to go there as far as the "love story" aspect
1st movie to see in theaters since Endgame. That was the best experience I can remember in a theater. The crowd was totally into it. Gasps, a complete silence where you could hear a pin drop, and of course huge applauses at the right moments!

Best movie I've seen this year in a theater…easily
Sonny is such a great character, a modern day happy wanderer with Peter Pan syndrome.
He doesn't care about money, but made sure to ask for the $5k bonus check for winning Daytona, BUT turned down the Rolex Daytona which he probably could have sold for 6-figures because he already had a watch.
The backstory behind his bankruptcy as a gambler also shines through how he's always taking bets; the 10,000 to 10 pounds one he made to the reporter; and the $100 bet to the race engineers on his first trial with APXGP.

Saw it last week. good popcorn flick. Enjoyed the ride and visuals.
Worst part was Will Buxton, the worst commentator in F1 history, somehow got a part in the movie.

Saw it last night in IMAX, what a ride. The soundtrack was amazing and I'm not sure I've seen an entire movie filmed in IMAX.

I was surprised that Danica Patrick did not make an appearance in the Vegas race part of the movie.
Was it just me, or were there scenes when the APXGP car looked half the size of the others, then in other scenes it looked normal?
Also super small cameo, but Shea Whigham was awesome in the 3 minutes he had or whatever

They were using the Formula 2 cars for the movie team, which are smaller than Formula 1
Saw it again last night, this time with the family, and I loved it even more the second time. Family all loved it too. Pitt's/Hayes' character arc worked a lot better for me this time as well. Such a great movie.

Saw it last night with my son. Great movie and definitely a "see it in theaters" experience.
The story / tension didn't grab me as much as Top Gun, but it was good enough to make the payoff of the races worth it.
Kosinski is just Gold for me. Top Gun, Oblivion, Tron Legacy are 3 of my all time favorite movies. Time and re-watches will tell if F1 joins the list, but I'll be lining up for Kosinski's next movie.
The story / tension didn't grab me as much as Top Gun, but it was good enough to make the payoff of the races worth it.

The over-explaining, by the announcers, whipped me the whole time. I know why they have to do it, but it took away from the action.
I also wish Sonny would have ended up with the team going forward in a mentor/strategy role for the rookie. I know it 'wasn't about the money'...but he could have both. Seeing him struggle to get out of the F1 car, because of his back, and then taking massive jumps in the Baja car was a bit silly.
Overall, a little cheesy, but good. Definitely worth seeing in the theater

Didn't realize he did Oblivion. One of the most underrated Sci-Fi movies in recent years. And one of the best soundtracks ever.
Due to the nature of filming they had to build and use an electric version of the car as well in order to do some of the filming because the internal combustion one would overheat.

I mean....yeah, duh, I guess.
There are some movies that follow the whole 'over come adversity, win against all odds' formula, but it's masked well by the story.
Some are just flat out formulaic, and pretty dang obvious as they almost spell it out for you.
F1 was the latter.
Still a fun movie though.
