Uh huh... how do you suggest getting the guns off the street? Let's say a law gets passed tomorrow and all guns of any kind are banned. Will that mean that everyone hands in their guns? You think the gang bangers will decided to just hand over their pieces? People who fear the government getting too large will just hand over their firearms? You aren't getting the genie back in the bottle, so to speak. The guns are not going to suddenly be gone if gun control gets passed. All you will have succeeded in doing is making sure the law abiding citizens are without guns. Not the greatest of plans.

If you're a practical person, you look at the 13% causing more than 50% of these types of incidents.

Don't go blaming republicans for perpetuating a victim mentality.

Strong contender for idiotic post of the decade here. I'm a Christian and I think the problem is not enough guns. Take Lakewood for example. Armed person took out the shooter with minimal casualties.

This looks legit
There are about 6 different arrestees floating around X. It's not clear on who may have been involved in the shootings and who was up to other nefarious activities.

Based on any of the vidoes/photos floating around it doesn't look like MSM will be interested though.

It would be "two life forms got into an altercation". Then a few days later there would be some apology for not using the correct terminology.

In the video where the fans tackle the dude running away, you can see a woman pick up a gun and move it. In another video, someone mentions the gun coming out and you briefly see a cop with his foot next to it. Here's the woman picking up the gun.

Prove these shootings were caused with guns that were purchased legally, then I will listen to what common sense gun laws are to you, until that point, no law would prevent this shooting.

Dog whistle aside, those 13% would not have the same level of access to guns that they do now if not for Republican gun policy.

Gun control works, but only if it's applied everywhere. Guns are trafficked into states with stricter gun control from states with weaker gun control that's why we have this issue.

Most guns used in mass shootings were bought legally. That is a fact.

Sure, criminals will break laws, but they won't be able to go on a shooting rampage if they are unable to gain possession of a firearm.

No, but then Jesus also has the messianic title of Prince of Peace. He said the sword is only permitted as a means of self defense and always as a last resort. Righteous anger is okay, until it falls into the sin of anger and vengeance.

So guns, like the sword have a purpose. And when used for anything beyond that, there should be extreme punishment.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

We should get rid of knives, cars, busses, bats , rocks , alcohol, drugs, etc..
maybe even get rid of hands for punching and legs for kicking too.

Your logic is so flawed

You think someone who wants to commit a crime with a firearm will even attempt to purchase that firearm legally?

Follow-up. If that same person is legally prohibited from purchasing said firearm, do you believe they will not acquire a firearm illegally?

At what point do we start enforcing existing laws rather than creating new ones that will similarly be ignored?

This argument is so stupid and self-defeating. Most of those things aren't specifically designed to kill people.

And cars are heavily regulated and we are constantly updating laws, technology, and infrastructure to make driving safer. And it's worked as car accident deaths have steadily declined.

Guns make it way easier to kill people. That is a fact.

edit: i'm a law abiding gun owner, just in case some idiot accuses me of wanting to ban and confiscate all guns

You would have a decent point if so many mass shooters didn't acquire their guns legally. They do that because it's the path of least resistance.

Saying 13% of the population cause 50% of crime is not a dog whistle. Those are facts. Implying that 13% can't handle their god given rights to bear arms like you are doing is absolutely a dog whistle though. What about black people having legal gun ownership is such an issue for you?
