If you are a Christian, or even if you just have any morals, you should be all for getting guns off the street.
If you're a practical person, you look at the 13% causing more than 50% of these types of incidents.

Don't go blaming republicans for perpetuating a victim mentality.
Dog whistle aside, those 13% would not have the same level of access to guns that they do now if not for Republican gun policy.

Gun control works, but only if it's applied everywhere. Guns are trafficked into states with stricter gun control from states with weaker gun control that's why we have this issue.

That's factually inaccurate.. your source for information is an idiot and you buy it. Not sure what that says about you.

Based on the vague description so far from the cops (crime vs attack) and video of the guys detained, all the sharp money is on the former.

We choose to believe they really are that dumb.

If they are trolls, they are good at their craft and have been so for quite some time, not just in politics, but across several other boards as well.

I think they're just angry about not being recognized as grown-ups.

So far 3 people have been detained for it. I highly suspect this was a terrorism thing but will eat crow if I'm wrong.

Either way, you aren't taking guns away.
Far more likely to be either gang related, or one person dissed another, which in urban black culture is basically a death penalty offense. Either way, the result was one or more idiots pulling their Glocks and blasting away.
You think someone being dissed would shoot 22 people, including 9 children? That would even be a lot for gang violence.

Considering multiple people were involved this screams terrorism to me.

Gangs bangers are not the best of shots. 22 people shot seems like a reasonable number for someone who can't shoot straight.

I see a world where Mexican cartels transition from drugs to guns. Drugs are slowly leaving black market as US legalizes, and guns are entering as US cracks down there.

Have you seen a championship parade? Two bangers throwing shots at each other in a crowd could easily do this. There is very little concern given to other human life

Yes, because they don't even try to aim. They just pull out their guns and blast away.

There is a reason you can often tell the race of a mass shooter(s) by the number of dead vs. the number of wounded.

White or Asian the number of dead is higher because they take aim at their targets.

Blacks the number of wounded is higher because they don't aim. They just blast away and hope to hit the person or persons they're after.

Hispanics can go either way.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

i'm not. stop being obtuse. more guns lead to more gun deaths. that is a fact. you can cope and seethe about it all you want, but it's why the USA is the only developed country to have a catastrophically bad gun violence problem, and only one side of the political aisle refuses to admit that.
It's also the only developed country too have a constitutional right to free speech and right to assemble and..... Why do you think the founding Fathers put the 2nd immediately behind the 1st? The decay of society is what l leads to more gun violence, a problem relatively new to our society. Why do you think that is and who has caused the greatest attack on that? We didn't have this problem until, about the 90's. Hmmm!

The problem started in the 1960's when LBJ and the Democrats created massive areas of government funded poverty and hopelessness to ensure that certain groups need to vote for a particular political party.
Yes, but it took about 30 years for that decay to reach the point of lawlessness.

The South Side of Chicago was the baddest part of town with government funded hell-hole housing projects full of violence and drugs in the 1970's. It took less than a decade. It took 30 years to create such socialist paradises in every major city in the country.

Show me an evil gun and we can talk. The evil comes from man's heart and you don't seem to be focused on that. I am a Christian and my Lord and Savior said in Matt. 15:19 out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. The shooters are the sons and daughters of Satan, who is the god of this world. I suggest you focus on removing evil from the street.

He doesn't want to deal in truth. He'd rather lap up the drivel pushed by his dim overlords and come here and tell us how taking guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens will somehow make the country safer. He'd rather not look at places like Mexico or South America where violent criminals somehow find enough firearms to kill people every day, while normal citizens there cannot defend themselves.

No, but maybe the teachers. Or maybe even let someone in that had a gun instead of holding them out. Uvalde is a classic case of expecting the cops to protect you…and they don't

What libtard gun controllers won't discuss is the obvious problem with "common sense gun reform."
If you require guns to be purchased only law abiding responsible citizens, isn't it obvious there will be a negative disparate impact on certain racial groups? Which racial group in America will be denied legal gun ownership because of criminal background checks. Will we have affirmative action for gun ownership and ignore a few deficiencies like felony domestic battery?
Exactly why libtards will just try to ban all guns

As soon as Democrats wake up and realize mail in ballots are no good and we need real voter ID...

Y'all do more than your share of breaking rules in our society when it suits your agenda...

We gun owners are just following common sense laws since the beggining of mankind. The right of a free person to defend themselves...

Republicans aren't the problem, criminals are. Criminals don't follow laws so you can enact all the harsh gun control laws you want to, it will.not stop gangs from owning guns, it will just help them in the end because the good people they prey on want be armed.

I would like for the two liberal pearl-clutchers here to explain why my rural county where guns outnumber people by at least 3:1 never has a murder. Almost everyone has a firearm within reach either on their person or in their vehicle, yet miraculously no murders.

Neither are apparently very smart so I'll provide a statistic as a clue - the population is 99.9% white and Hispanic.
I take issue with you correlating gun violence rates to race. But yes, small rural communities have lower murder and gun violence rates. Clearly. The vast majority of lawful gun owners are just that--lawful.

Gun violence rates cannot be attributed to one specific cause, and people have literally written dissertations on underlying causes of generational poverty and systemic problems that correlate with higher crime rates (and ergo, higher gun violence rates). It's not exactly surprising that gun violence rates are higher in major urban areas. Yes I know, the vast majority of big cities are run by Democrats, albeit a great number of these cities with high crime rates are in red states.

I still think we can do a much better job at reducing the number of guns on the streets and keeping guns out of the wrong hands. For example, i am still furious the Uvalde shooter was able to so easily purchase 2 AR15s, with as much ammunition as he wanted, right after his 18th birthday with no issue whatsoever, even though there were tons of red flags that should have either prevented him from buying them or delayed it. I'll never get over that.

Granted, the situation in KC is different and it will be several days until we know all the facts. I'm just tired of all this **** and tired of hearing people continue to make excuses for it.

I don't think I've ever seen someone get ratio'd so hard on texags like larry culpepper and pylon are in this thread.
