I'm against police cars with the ghost graphics trying to hide out in ditches to catch speeders too. (they should also have to obey all traffic laws unless they have lights and sirens on too, but that's a different thread) When you agree to join the military/police/LEO of any kind, you are aware of the risks. Retribution has been a risk forever.

On the surface level, this was a college student with a legal visa whose only alleged crime was having opinions, and she was engaged in perfectly lawful activity of going to a place of worship when assaulted by men in hoodies and masks who claimed to be police officers.

That is wild. If I were her I would have been fighting for my life, assuming I was being kidnapped and I would keep fighting until uniformed officers showed up or I was incapacitated. Why would I believe that some strange men in hoodies and masks were cops?

Yes, I agree the arrest was scary for her. Like a kidnapping

What's new about this? Happening for 50+ years.
We funded dictators and terrorists for decades.
Because they were "our terrorists". Until they weren't.

Maybe fewer radical Muslims will come here the more they see that you can get snatched up and detained/deported for raising hell here.

Imagine the astronomical sense of entitlement...to go to another country across the globe, and immediately start protesting and proselytizing and trying to force "change". Trying to get them to bow to your culture.

I cannot imagine being such an entitled and ungrateful POS to be honest. I would fully expect Japan to be like "nah, kanichiwa, GTFO white boy" if I pulled that sh** there.

Yes, it was poorly executed.
This was bad. Agents wearing hoodies dragging a woman off to prison for an Op-ed or legally protesting is very bad. Revoking her visa is questionable, but what they did to her is an outrage. This is like when Biden's DOJ sent 15 goons to arrest a guy for some minor incident that local PD didn't think warranted an investigation.

Thank you.

Did you even read what you posted or just take the first sentence???? It states the protections can be used to varying degrees. You aren't going to have protections when you are in a foreign country writing in support of a terrorist organization. Why are democrats so obtuse?

This is following due process. If the govt revoked her visa she no longer has legal status. The agents assigned to remove people without status arrested her. That initiates the removal process.

Post arrest, she will be served with removal documents and have a chance to argue her case to an immigration judge or waive that and be removed to her home country more quickly.

Please point out where due process was not afforded.
Great post. I am also going to add this for the "omg why aren't the ICE agents showing their faces?!" crowd. You know how many people have been brainwashed into thinking they are literal NAZIS? You know how many people would be fine seeing every single one of them executed?

They probably want to remain relatively anonymous for the same reason police officers seizing drugs and 14k gold guns from cartel members do.

Liberals are violent and basically comprise the largest hate group in the world.

Democrats are doxing owners of vehicles to have them assaulted, openly accosting them and blowing up or shooting car dealerships because their feelings are hurt.

I have no issue with masked police/ice officers. Leftists will have their families murdered if they find out who they are for simply detaining someone

She wasn't aware of her visa being revoked, she wasn't made aware of anything during her arrest in the video, they grabbed a hold of her before they identified themselves (which I don't think they ever did to an extent that would satisfy me if I were in her place), they didn't give her access to her consulate rep or a lawyer or family members for over 24 hours, from my understanding they didn't tell any of those people that they were moving her to Louisiana, etc etc. All of this because of wrongthink opinions. If there was anything more nefarious going on than the op-ed, Rubio would have said it by now instead of being cagey.

I hope her lawyers are good at their jobs.

Key is not to be in her place. Don't go to another country on a visa that can be revoked in the blink of an eye and be a loudmouth trouble making a-hole.

Regarding Rubio's statements, yeah, he didn't spell out exactly what she did, but it reads to me, as if it was more than just writing an op-ed. Who knows, maybe we will find out more.

I have a VERY hard time believing it was just for writing an opinion piece. But I am still fine with her removal over it, if that's all she did. We need to learn from Europe and stop taking entitled anti-western/antisemitic Muslim troublemakers in.

I just watched the video. They are not wearing masks.

Looks like they were wearing their badges around their necks. Pretty standard.

You cannot hear what they are saying. They are probably not yelling as to not cause a scene.

They have 72 hours to notify the consulate.

And they can move her to whatever ICE detention facility they want to have her wait for an immigration hearing.

What else you got?

However, I would like to know if she was doing something beyond just writing an article.
Would be great to know, but according to this administration she has no right to due process so we may never know.

Prayers for these courageous public servants and their families.
