Agreed. Let's just say some right/left wing whacko clipped Reiner and his wife, then MAYBE politics could be on the fringe. But this is just a horrible family struggle that had to be going on for years and years. He did not hide this...if you didn't vote with him, you were garbage and he hated you. He was a nasty ball of hate. Still sucks that this happened, and not even people like him deserve it.

For those comparing not really crying over this to those4 who cheerfully celebrated Charlie Kirk's death, p*ss off. Charlie didn't openly hate everyone who didn't vote like him.

Trump shouldn't have said that. He should've either not said anything or just left the first part. It's all true, but it didn't need to be said.

But the things Reiner said about Trump weren't any better, people will forget that. But if Trump had been assassinated last year, I don't think kindness would've come from Reiner's mouth, but I don't think he would've said anything like this.

Trump has disappointed me several times with his words. This is probably one of the worst. All it does is take away from the good he's doing for the country.

You answered it. He absolutely kicked a hornet's nest and he's looking to see who scurries to defend Reiner and who calls out Reiner for his hate.

He wants to see exactly what this thread delivers. A separation of folks who can still speak honestly about a dead man and those who would defend the devil himself if Trump said a mean thing about him.

Definitely not agreeing or supporting any of Reiner's political preferences. But the difference is that if something tragic happened to you or your mother, Reiner wouldn't be dancing on the grave the way our president apparently felt the need to take time out of his assumedly absurdly busy schedule to make an unhinged post about. Always amazes me how much of a giant petulant child he is considering his overall success.

Reiner made some great movies in the first half of his career. His second half was poor to average.

Reiner contracted an extreme case of TDS and made a lot of hateful comments towards Trump and conservatives. He was very much a dumbass clown in that regard.

Getting basically assassinated by your own kid is horrific.

Trump putting out that statement is the dumbest of own goals even if it has some truth to it. Just a stupid post and will absolutely help the Democrats in the mid-terms.

Reiner almost certainly would have danced on Trump's grave...but really, what matters is in the heart. He would have celebrated it privately, with immense joy, had Trump's head exploded on live TV in Butler PA. Not a single doubt in my mind.

Rob Reiner absolutely hated most of us on here, even if he didn't know us. He wanted me and my family ruined for not getting a f-ing experimental vaccine too. But he REEEEEALLY hated Trump. I disagree with this move by Trump, only because it is potentially bad optics. Some things may be true, or deserved, but better left unsaid.
