I don't think he is a viable option. He can be a unifying figure after things stabilize, but he doesn't have sufficient domestic support to takeover.
More likely something similar to Tunisia 2011 or Egypt 2013.
Not sure there are sufficient moderates in the IRGC, so more likely some combination of the Artesh ( regular Army) and reformists politicians.
