Holy Moses.
That is so antithetical to the actual Gospel message, I dont know where to start.
He espouses that Matthew 25 tells us everything we need to know...that our actions saves us, and we dont need to read our Bible, because it's not in that passage?
Good gosh almighty. Well, why the heck did we have the rest of Matthew, New Testament or the entire Bible? Apparently, we just needed this one random chapter of parables, without any context!!
This guy twists every passage he references

Notice how they are always saying that we should openly embrace all sinners on the left because, according to them, Christ told us to not only love everyone, but to never judge their actions and tolerate all of their deviant and wicked behavior? But on the other hand they CONSTANTLY demonize and judge the sh** out of anyone right-of-center for much more petty and innocuous infractions? Like you are the spawn of Satan himself if you just believe nations should have enforceable borders...but when it comes to any of the evil or lawlessness they push or embrace, we are told not to judge.
In other words, Christ's grace and forgiveness is only for them...them, being mostly non-believers who actually hate pretty much everything Christ stood for. Classic.![]()

The term is "enablers". Christ never said "Go forth and sin some more".

That's why I asked. I was wondering if this was for his current campaign, or for one of his earlier campaigns for state rep
I would be shocked if he was saying these things while campaigning for a state wide race
Shocked, but maybe I shouldn't be

Texas Democrat U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico calls men in girls’ sports a "far-right conspiracy theory."

The Dem playbook will be the same as Beto, make him look like an aw-shucks moderate. Media puff pieces abound to smoke screen any of his radical or heretical views. Hope they fool enough people. I worry for our state if he comes within a million votes. Americans have been rug pulled from cult of personality far far to often. The sad part is how many vote off likeability above everything else. Never mind that the candidate promotes self destructive and suicidal policies if they were to be enacted... "but he's a nice person so he gets my vote".
Sad how many are willing to self immolate thinking that it's self flagellating, they would burn their world and the world around them if they thought the ashes were the moral high ground.
Quote:
While appearing on a live recording of "The Bulwark" podcast Wednesday, Talarico criticized the Biden administration for refusing to acknowledge issues at the border until its final year in office, accusing it of being influenced by outside groups.
"In recent years, there have been a series of advocacy groups that claim to represent the interests of different communities like here in Texas, but actually have no real connection to the actual people on the ground," Talarico said. "And those groups convinced the administration that it was racist to support border security. And nothing could be further from the truth."

Quote:
Though Talarico has been pushing a more moderate position on immigration and border security, he previously posted information to help illegal immigrants evade law enforcement during President Donald Trump's first term.
"Undocumented Americans are folks who work in our businesses, learn in our schools and contribute to our communities but lack citizenship documentation," Talarico said in a post to X in 2019.
"As a Texas legislator, they're also my constituents," he added.
In 2024, James Talarico appeared in a promo video for 'Third Act'

Third Act is most well known for trying to get Banks to stop loaning money to oil companies. They have hosted high profile 'die-in' protests at banks

It's still hard to fathom this is the person the Democrats chose as their Senate candidate. It tells you how radical and out of touch they have become, especially for Texas. All I keep coming to for them is -
