They are interviewing three priests who have zero understanding of history. And the new Pope is as same as the old. Total woke loser.

First, they are condeming war and Trump. Have they ever opened a history book and studied how much war the Catholics have been involved in throughout the last 2,000 years?

Then they go on to condemn ICE and the fact that they wear masks and are opposed to us trying to keep our borders sovereign.

I hope these Cardinals CBS found don't speak for the entire church but good God these people are ridiculous.

The Catholic Church should definitely stay out of politics 100%! They seem to pick the wrong side of politically charged issues almost every time. But as for the bloody history of Catholics, remember the Crusades were fighting Muslims for the Holy Land. Catholics got that call 100% right!!!

We all know 60 Minutes is a full blown propaganda machine. And I've been hearing about this recent push towards Catholicism.

What a well timed piece to find three Cardinals who hate Trump and try to position him as some maniac on a war path.

The same President that has already ended eight wars in a year and is trying to stop the potential threat of a future nuclear war.

Absolute clown world.

Used it many times for papers.

If 60 Minutes was a legit news organization, they would have at least found some Catholic priests with opposing viewpoints because they damn sure exist.

Also, the real story with the Catholic Church right now is that it's broke. That's what should have been covered.

Why would they have to when they can just listen to the pope spout off on how America should not be protecting our national sovereignty and it is our duty to take care of everyone who shows up.

Catholic groups and NGOs have taken billions of $$ to facilitate the invasion under previous administration, all the while offering the eucharist to a champion of abortion…….

I caught a little bit of the segment because it was left on after the Masters. Was actually surprised the reporter pushed back on the three bishops, citing the regime's history of terror. "You don't think that's a valid reason to go to war?"..."(some terrible answer)"...I change the channel.

As a Christian you can't separate your politics from your beliefs

The Orthodox and Catholic churches were the only Christian Churches (of any note at all) during the Crusades. So it was ALL Christians. Sorry to burst your Protestant bubble if you think the Baptist were laying low.

I don't act the hypocrite and claim some weird justification for my political beliefs and separate them from my religious beliefs though.

I pray for my failings. Loving people is the hardest.

I've never been to an evangelical church that discussed politics in 46 years. If they had, I wouldnt have been back. I did attend mass on and off with my ex for 20 years and heard politics discussed many times.

Maybe they talk politics from the pulpit at high-church Protestant Services. But can't say I've ever been to one.

Also, I know you get your cassock in a ruffle anytime F16 criticizes your Church. Maybe you should check out the R&P board, aka the Protestants are heretics and going to hell board. Might be good for you to realize that your particular brand of Christianity isn't always the victim.

The US is the most charitable nation on the planet, by a long shot, both privately and publicly. We are allowed to have national sovereignty, borders, immigration laws, and enforce all of those as we see fit. We are not torturing people, denying basic human necessities, tearing children away from parents, etc., etc. So I don't really care what the Pope or any bishop or priest has to say about the POTUS with regard to immigration and how we are addressing it and they should it be commenting on it at all.

As for war / Iran, this is a fundamentalist muslim country that had publicly stated if they developed a nuclear weapon they would use it on Israel and would do so in the USA (NYC or DC likely) if they could. The regime just got done killing 20K+ of their own citizens who wanted more freedom. The right thing to do (whether you want to call it moral and Christian or not) is to step up and put a stop to it.

I guess we should just have tried to talk to Hirohito and Hitler and ask them to stop and try to change their mind. That would have been the nice Christian thing to do.
