As far as this Pope stating that nations have a right to boarders, Well, duh, what should he say?

It's what he really support and he is a full on supporter of the whole social justice movement.

Do you know about the Jesuits and the creating of the CIA? Of course you don't.

Ahh no, they were sanctioned by Pope Paul III to be the military arm, counter revolutionary to the Protestant Reformation this is well documented.

You're level of misinformation is astounding. You may want to consider new sources.

Gotta love the pope hate for no reason.

Literally the pope:

Quote:

"No one has said that the United States should have open borders. I think every country has a right to determine who and how and when people enter," Pope Leo XIV said November 18 outside the papal villa of Castel Gandolfo before returning to Rome after a daylong stay there.

The biggest haters of the Catholic church are Christian Zionists. Why doesn't anyone admonish the Christian Zionists for advocating for war? Promoting war is the exact opposite of what Christianity is all about - it is not Christian at all. They also advocate for Churches to accrue billions of dollars in assets, again not Christian.

What does this even mean? Every evangelical church I've been a part of is barely operating in the black at all times. Outside of saving for a rainy day fund, like when we lost part of a roof in a hurricane, every extra dollar is used for charity or mission trips.

We own no paintings or sculptures, have no land holdings other than the dirt under our feet, possess no icons other than a few wooden crosses, and there isn't any gold or jewels to be found. Absolutely the worst when it comes to accruing billions of dollars in assets.

So we shouldn't listen to what he says, but what OPAG says he really believes?

The CIA? Really? Because some Georgetown grads (among others) went on to start the CIA it's a Jesuit plot? You don't see how loony that is? Just like the Jesuits being the "military arm" of the counter reformation despite not being fighting any wars. You're way out there bud

I saw it in my visit to Ecuador. Beautiful churches with paupers begging outside. The Catholic church is an abomination after nothing but money, Catholic Christians are wonderful people of faith. I hope they awake.

Good Lord, there are Muslim scholars studying vatican texts in our library, and they set aside a room for them to pray in while they're there.

I've lived in several different muslim countries, all of them have had Catholic churches for me to pray in.

This is absolutely absurd. Our money is in treasure and land not cash, our clerics are extremely educated and make almost no money, and we're the largest charitable organization in the history of mankind.

As a practicing Catholic my frustration with the church is the same with every organization.

Apply the rules and principles universally.

Pope Leo has an obligation to promote peace between nations. I support that. He also had a major obligation to call out the mass slaughter of protestors in Iran and call on the nations of the world to step in and stop it. But he was silent on this.

The church loves to turn its "snide comments" and rebukes to the US for anything we have ever done with the exception of giving away our treasures to the rest of the world. And when we do this it is always "you could do more".

Was he silent on the Iran protests?

https://www.holyseegeneva.org/news/pope-calls-for-patience-and-dialogue-in-iran-and-syria/

In January he stated:

"In particular in Iran and in Syria, where persistent tensions are causing the death of many people. I hope and pray that dialogue and peace may be cultivated with patience.

"I hope and pray for the patient cultivation of dialogue and peace, for the common good of society as a whole."

"I pray for those who are suffering and renew my appeal for an end to violence and for efforts to achieve peace to be intensified."

of course he wasn't silent on that, the media just didn't make a heyday out of it, because it didn't generate buzz.

Pope Francis Leo XIV and the Catholic Church need to stay out politics because they are almost always on the wrong side of contentious political issues, including immigration. For example, he criticized "extremely disrespectful" treatment and "inhuman measures" against migrants, arguing that the focus should be on the commandment of love rather than exclusionary mindsets.

Matthew 6:19-21
19 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

"Treasures" meaning art work, books, etc. Sure, I guess they could sell it all to private individuals, but the idea is to preserve culture and art work for the public to be able to access. And all of those "treasures" ended up there because they were donated or taken away from Re-captured Christian areas the muslims had previously taken over.

My point is that the idea to take care of the poor is always for the Catholic Church to sell it's timeless works of art and culture to some sort of private collector for personal use, and then give that money to the poor.

Why doesn't the private collector just give the money to the poor and let the Catholic Church keep it?

Except for the fact that Jews think Christ is a common criminal at best, and a blasphemer boiling alive in human excrement for eternity at worse, while muslims think he's the 2nd most important prophet of islam, and the son of God and the virgin Mary, which makes sense when you realize Islam is really just a tribal garbling of Nestorian Christianity.

Maybe because I don't care one way or the other if the Vatican offers prayer rooms to onsite Muslim scholars. But if you had to press me on it, it just seems like a decent thing the Vatican is doing to accommodate fellow humans. So good on them for it, honestly.
