i fly out of north terminal at ATL. Security is bad there.
Parked in AB yesterday and went through C to see how it was and it was pretty empty about 8am.

Same. I can't think of a time when I was in a pre-check line behind more than about 6-8 people in the last 5 years anywhere. Most of the time the line is less than 3 people.BMX Bandit said:Quote:

Not sure there's ever been a better travel investment than pre-check.
We flew out last Tuesday from C and there was literally two people in front of us at security. Unfortunately we flew back on Friday (thanks Crowdstrike) and didn't get back in until midnight but we were one of the fortunate ones to even get a flight. I've never seen IAH so busy before, especially at midnight. It was insane.
Then once an announcement came on that baggage claim wasn't locating anymore luggage until 6am made for some interesting people watching.

I am flying out of Terminal D on British Airways on Wednesday night. We are going to be dropped off so I am assuming that we should just go through security and check bags in Terminal D, is that our best bet?
Pretty sure it's the only choice to check bags on BA, they don't have a desk anywhere else
I was supposed to fly into Houston last night on Delta but my flight was cancelled, so I'm stuck in NYC for two days. According to them, there were no flights into Texas on Delta and they are paying for my hotel.

Our AA flight to PHL at 720 am was cancelled at midnight last night.
Had to rebook to BOS on JetBlue and arrange to drive 4 hours to our final destination because AA couldn't get us all out until Thurs.
Airport is surprisingly not a cluster today. Parking was quick, traffic was not bad, and security lines were short.

Atlanta airport is jam-packed. Mothers w/ small children on the floor in the terminal. Line for customer service is 1/2 mile long. No rental cars. Few hotel options. People’ve been stuck here 3 days.

When coming home from an international flight, skip UBER and get a cab instead. Walk past all those people waiting for Ubers to the very end of the walkway where the taxi stand is located. You will have a taxi within five minutes and be on your way (my experience two weeks ago).

Customs today is a disaster. When did they completely neuter Global Entry?? Used to do the kiosk, take receipt and walk out. Today we had to do the kiosk and then go to a line 200 people deep with one guy working the counter.
Non-global entry is even more of a train wreck. Waiting for rest of family to get through that now.

Wish the US could get our act together like the UK. I walked right through immigration at Heathrow in about two minutes with tier automatic gates.
In the past, we still had to take the receipt to a counter, but they usually had several open and a special line for GE that went much faster than regular line.Agman said:

Yep. Was easier getting in to a foreign country then home with Global Entry.

I use fast park and they are normally picking up pretty timely at all terminals so I'd just use where you come out (it use to not be E though, they sent you to C or D)
In terms of check in, I'd go to D and then walk over to E. It's a 5 min walk

I walked right through customs yesterday and my wife and kids breezed through it today too.

It's not just the UK. Getting into the EU via CDG is a breeze.
