Prelims are over with 2 of the 3 matches today going deep into PKs.

Group A: Mexico, El Salvador, Curaao Guatemala, Trinidad & Tobago
Group B: United States, Canada, Martinique, Haiti
Group C: Costa Rica, Jamaica, Suriname, Guadelope
Group D: Honduras, Panama, Grenada, Qatar

Matches start July 10th with El Salvador v Curacao followed by T&T and Mexico. US plays on the 11th.

Our region often has guests. I can remember South Korea was a guest a few Gold Cups ago...

Edit: Peru, South Korea, Colombia came in second place once, and Brazil came in second place twice.

Now it seems it's Qatar's turn. Qatar is about to get wrecked by a bunch of Concacaf B & C teams, haha...

This game is uglier than the Copa match.

Mexico has been diving from the start. Plenty of fouls.

Mexico just fell easily in the box for second time. No penalty called. I agree with no call. But during his fall he ended up getting both goalie cleats crammed into his face. Brutal wreck.

Mexico did their thing, that's really about all. If you've watched Concacaf matches before you'll know what I'm talking about...

Edit: A Mexican dove I the box, then exaggerated being injured after the fact, they put him on a stretcher and drove him off in a cart... you know, typical Mexican gamesmanship.

Man I'm no fan of Mexico, but you really think they flopped and faked an injury to the extent that they subbed out a starter?

I honestly don't know if that "push" from behind was enough for a penalty, but the collision with the goalie was clearly bad.
