The Fox ref consultant said they might lose two home games for World Cup qualifying. But I was unsure if that was happening or a possibility if it continued.

If FIFA was serious, that's what they would make them do. The first punishment obviously didn't work. They were still doing it at the end of the game after two stoppages.

The penalty of two matches without fans has already been handed down. Even after that, the fans are still doing the chant. Concacaf won't do ****, but maybe fifa will. In match they were supposed to stop play and send teams to the locker rooms on the second warning I thought

Its never going to stop.

I was at Mister Tramps Sports Bar in Austin off 183 and a table of Mexicans had to be told multiple times to stop doing the cheer by both staff and other patrons while watching an Austin FC game.

It can mean a British cigarette. Which if a British person says it, the intent might not be insensitive. But it's interpreted by an American as offensive .

Can someone explain why they do that chant at a soccer match? As I understand it, it's akin to saying "maggot" (with an F) or "wussy" (with a P). How does that become a national chant for them? I don't get it

They originally did it during goal kicks. Not sure why they're doing it now.

If I'm Mexico I don't play in the US as that's where their last two issues were. American Mexican fans.

Depends on context. I would assume with a screen name of La Bamba, you would understand Spanish, but maybe not. Puta can be a homophobic slur, depending on context, as pointed out in Kevin's post above.

I think the governing bodies have the line drawn in the sand on this one. Two stoppages of time in the waning stages of the match for a chant that has already seen action taken against the MNT should be met with a stiffer penalty. We'll see if they have any spine.
