Alexi is a moron. Proved it last night (again) in his commentary post-Copa America final.

Its pretty shocking the disparity between this USA lineup and the Nations League lineup. I might get roasted for this but the difference in quality between Europe-based players and MLS players is huge. Definitely a varsity vs JV or freshman squad difference.

Why are we running out the B-team for this tournament? Probably been mentioned but I'm not in on it.

How much does the general crap quality of CONCACAF affect the development of the US as a soccer nation? Mexico-T&T last night was garbage, even though I took much pleasure in watching Mexico struggle. Besides US and Mexico, there just isn't any quality in our Federation.

And here I was making fun of Mexico's uniforms...

And then I see the USA's jersey...

I really enjoyed his gamesmanship. He was a diving piece of carp, but I loved every minute of it, even when he was captaining the Guatemalan squad against the USA. He was a true Concacaf legend.

He's the greatest Guatemalan soccer player EVER. Which is to say he's the greatest Guatemalan soccer player ever :/

Guatemala is gonna have a hard time advancing to the knockout rounds if they lose this game. I don't think a tie will help them in the end either, they won't be able to score enough to overcome goal differential after the group stage...

Nice story and valiant effort for Guatemala. Don't think they had much chance though.

As for USA, I was impressed with both full backs Shaq Moore and Sam Vines.

The squad looked really vulnerable to counters. Maybe they were overconfident and got too far up the field at times vs an overmatched Haiti team. Mexico, Canada, and others will kill this group if they don't clean it up.

The starting midfield trio was fine. Llegett is a decent player and so is Acosta. Yuiell as a 6 has decent movement, touch, and turns in possession, but doesn't give you a very intimidating presence or great recovery speed defending. Overall, a huge drop off from guys like McKennie and Adams on this unit.

Will Dike start next game over Zardes?
