I don't see how Golden State will clear the cap room. They'd have to trade Bogut, Biedrins, and Jefferson, and I don't see any teams taking those, and not giving any salary back to GS, without getting Thompson or Barnes in return.

Unless Howard told GS he will sign with them, I don't see a way they can create the space.
Obviously if Howard gave them a guarantee then they will make it happen but no way they would give up all the assets it would take to move those contracts just for a "chance" to sign him.
