Howard is a superstar talent but I just don't think he's a championship player. He gets a lot of credit for getting orlando to the finals and he should. But the was several years ago and in a very, very bad eastern conference. They were barely competitive in the finals.

I thought he was overrated in terms of his impact and that was proven in LA. Maybe he was hurt... And maybe he'll never be right again. I would be pretty hesitant to bet my future on him. He's been in a league a long time and still has a very limited offensive game. He's a better version of Tyson Chandler.

The deal with dwight is that he is basically the same guy as he was when he came into the league. He hasn't really improved any facet of his game. He's dominated because of his body, and less because of his skill set. Where as most guys can or will make do with their body aging or athleticism decreasing, howards career will come to a screeching halt.

I don't get this. He played in a system that didnt fit him last year. Period. People act like he won these awards 5+ years ago. It was TWO years. In the worst year of his career in a system he wasnt utilized properly in he avg 18&12! He's 27 folks not 35

Howard was tied for 1st in the league in points/shot. He simply didn't get very many attempts (14th among centers) thanks to D'Antoni's system.

Agree that Rockets are a contender, but not a favorite.

The Rox are definitely better. They should have a chance to finish top 4 in the west. I'm thinking more of the playoffs where I just don't see Howard's game translating well. Harden could play out of his mind and carry them but you definitely can't survive with Dwight as the offensive centerpiece.

I really hate to resort to fact checking but he's missed 3 times. You probably forgot his last year in Orlando where the best center in the NBA completely botched the entire season.

So he's made the playoffs 6 times in 9 years. 3 times he's lost in round one with two sweeps.

I don't hate on the Rox, I think it was a move they had to make. I just can't stand the Dwightmare and so I'm not going to predict success. Who knows, he could prove me wrong and grow up Houston.
