A little good news. Toronto seems to have solidified their playoff berth so the Spurs should get their pick somewhere around 18 depending on how the season finishes.

I think it's still too early to call. Their pick can still be anywhere from 15 to early 20s or be bumped out of the playin with no pick. But I do think with the way they are playing compared to other teams, it is likely we get around 20th.

Losing to Memphis moves the spurs back out of the 10 spot. What a painful missed layup by Keldon

I was at the game behind the bench and they were fuming about the missed foul calls

Pop was pretty pissed most of the game. That said, hard to blame the fouls on the blown layup at the end.

He was technically fouled on that layup attempt. Still should have made it. Even so, Memphis would have had a few seconds left to answer.

You didn't see him get absolutely clobbered on the layup attempt I guess?

He got hit in the arm, chest, and head. He should be, and rightfully is, pissed.

Also, Memphis would have had less than 2 seconds if it has gone in. They imbounded the ball with 5 seconds left.

It was the FL online drop. From what I understand, these are fairly easy to find in sneaker stores right now. Nike app releases are April 12 which should also be an easy grab.

Raptors pick officially conveyed to Spurs. Great trade by Wright. Move up at least 10 spots in the draft for a player that wasn't playing.

Spurs will clinch a playin birth with a Lakers loss tonight. If they clinch, ideally it would be good for them to lose their remaining 3 games because 1) they are a better road team than home team which would give them a better shot at the 8th seed in the playoffs and 2) it would still allow them to get a top 10 pick in case they lose the playin.

Spurs beat The nuggets in Denver by 19 with no DJ. Impressive. Need lakers to lose tonight.

Pop still has it. That dude can't retire yet. He's got these young guys playing tough as hell. I hope he coaches 5 more years.

Absolutely fantastic game from the team last night. From both ends.

Yes! Beating a good team on the road without Dejounte when the games still count was great. The Nuggets tried to come back but the Spurs survived the run and finished strong.

Jakob played fantastic defense on Jokic despite two fouls early. He's just a phenomenal defender. That may be a bit too strong of a word, but for a traditional big man, he's fantastic. Unlike other teams that have dynamic perimeter defenders and struggle to have any answer at all for the resurgence of the true bigs, Jakob fills that void for us, which is critical because we are small otherwise. Honestly, the man has earned himself a good bit of money this season. I hope he can continue to improve.

It helped that the rest of the Nuggets let Jokic down. He played great and it was a joy to watch him play, but he needs some help. He looked gassed.

Honestly, I know we aren't a great team. But damn, we are pretty fun to watch.

Our schedule has been pretty favorable down the stretch but no drop off sans DeMar and White is pretty encouraging going forward.

Obviously he isn't a great defender like Jacob but Zach played pretty big minutes with Jakob getting early fouls and Jock not available.

I also think getting Josh Richardson in the Derrick trade was huge. We got their first and really didn't miss a beat because Josh came in and has been a spark off the bench.

Josh is ultimate sixth man who isn't afraid to mix him up. Would much rather pay him than Lonnie going forward.

Jakob stats are misleading. Jokic had 41 points last night, which makes it sound like our bigs were just sitting around, but that isn't what really happens.

Jakob moves without the ball in his defenders hand better than almost any big in the league. He forces opposing offenses to stay out on the perimeter, which allows defenders to sit back and not worry about getting blown by because they know they have help at all times. It's a lot like a corner forcing a receiver to run their routes directly into other defenders.

Jakob doesn't have to block 10 shots a game to take over. He makes other people better defenders with the support he provides.

Poeltl has been very good this season. Hes already been a nice defensive anchor. This year he became a lot more active on offense. Im really excited about him. I think he'll be a Spur for a long time.

It will be. His current deals is 9m a year for one more passed this season. I think he's probably worth more than that but he's not even close to sniffing all star status. As of right it will be nice to setup next season with Jacob and Collins on discount contracts.

Strangely, Josh is just what the Spurs needed while White was exactly what they needed. As a bonus the Spurs got a pick and a pick swap out of the deal. What a great trade!

It will be very interesting to see how they approach this.
