At least one expert thought the Spurs could have picked Branham at 9 so it seems like a no-brainer for them to take him since he was there at 20.

I had that thought as well but just today I read that the Spurs weren't really blown away by any of the international players this year.

This is one they do like that could be there in the 2nd round.

19. Gabriele Procida

Procida remains the top international player on my Spurs Big Board. He's an athletic 6-foot-8 wing with a picture-perfect stroke. Add in the fact that he may be willing to stay overseas for a season or two and I think he makes a ton of sense for the Spurs with one of their final three draft picks.

One scouting report

Jovic is 6-foot-11 and can pass but everything else about him is more hypothetical. He projects to be a sub par defender and he doesn't have a history of being a sharpshooter.

I don't love the Wesley pick, but I don't hate it either. Very raw and will also need to work on his shot, but he can create space for his own shot with his athleticism.
