I wonder if this means Pop is going to coach longer. Messina and Becky wouldn't wait. But I guess Becky being the HC wasn't necessarily a given.
It's a good opportunity for her. I'm wondering if Will Hardy will be the one when it's all said and done.Enzo The Baker said:
Wow. Great for Becky. Hopefully she can still be an NBA coach one day.

What's interesting is that with Landale playing pretty well and the possibility of Zach Collins playing soon, their front court could go from a big question mark to a strength.Ulrich said:
Primo is shooting 58% for the season in San Antonio, so that's pretty good.
In more serious news: Johnson, McDermott, and Forbes all have ~100 three point attempts and are all over 40%, with Keldon Johnson at 47%. We finally have some shooting to space the floor.
I haven't watched the spurs much this year due to not having tv, but statistically it looks like we're only missing one piece and some experience playing together.

Before the season started, I would have said that they needed to get a big guy in the draft. Now I think they can go for the best available offensive player regardless of position.
True but we have so many 6'5" guard types, it almost seems crazy to take another one but if that is what's there I guess you take them.Enzo The Baker said:jteagle said:What's interesting is that with Landale playing pretty well and the possibility of Zach Collins playing soon, their front court could go from a big question mark to a strength.Ulrich said:

I think the only time you don't take BPA is if you're a top 4 team in the league contending for championship. Obviously cultural fit plays a factor too.

They missed him last night. Not saying they would have won with him but they would have had a better chance. His defense would have helped.LawHall88 said:Spurs guard Dejounte Murray — team’s top scorer at 18.8 points per game — has cleared Covid protocols and will start his reconditioning for a return to the team, sources tell ESPN. This is accurate.

Yeah, I think that will be the last time Jock inbounds for a while! Not only did he give the ball away but he gave it to their hottest player going toward their basket.West Texan said:LawHall88 said:

Derrick was the initial inbounder, but after nearly getting a 5 count and calling a timeout Pop switched it to Jock.
