I almost think it makes more sense starting Vassell. More outside shooting. Then White can maybe gain some confidence off of the bench playing against the second units.

And that starting line up would had a lot of size and versatility on defense. Could hide McBuckets a lot easier.
White just looks slow this season. Maybe because everyone is playing with more pace than ever before, but he just looks tired.

Looks like Thad is getting more comfortable. He can do a lot of good things. Don't know if we are putting him on display for a trade or not, but I'd like him coming off of the bench before Drew when Jak comes back.

Didn't realize Jakob hasn't been playing. Not having him play makes a difference. No defender or rebound in the paint.

The defense has really struggled without Jacob. And Pop aid not to expect him back anytime soon.
I find the scheduling really weird this year. They have played Dallas 3 times already in the first 12 games of the season and then don't play them again until the very last game. Then they haven't played anyone else in their division even once and won't until they play Memphis in December.

I know it's really early but there are some crazy things in the standings right now.
Wizards are 10-3 with the best record in the East. Pretty easy schedule so far but still.
Contrast, Westbrook's new team the Lakers are 8-7 and struggling at times.

I admittedly didn't see this GSW hot start either. Granted, their schedule has been relatively soft too. The West is really wide open this year.
Our team is so bad at shooting that we've caused 21 turnovers and are still down 18.
No one has stepped up to be that guy game in and game out. Especially in the second half. Doesn't help when the team is 3 for 18 on threes.
Vassell is our #2 scorer per minute played.
Derrick White is our 2nd worst scorer per minute played after KBD.
White needs to run the second team offense.

Yup. White needs to spell DJ's mins. It's clear Jones isn't ready (might not be ever due to his size). Walker is still wildly all over the place (not in a good way) on both sides. He makes a good play here and there but I still don't see that guy sticking here long term. A couple of more weeks of this and it's Primo time baby.
Also FWIW the spurs have had one of the easiest schedules (27th most difficult) SOS-wise to date. They have one of the 10 most difficult schedules remaining.
We just don't have the offensive players right now. I agree with either putting Derrick with the bench mob or at the very least increasing the minutes staggering, but at the end of the day we don't have any consistent bucket getters except DJ and he is an inefficient option. Devin I think is ready to shoulder some more of the offensive load so I hope Pop starts to feed him a little more, long term I think him and Primo are going to be our best bets at developing another consistent scoring option.
But I also just wanna say that even though Derrick hasn't been shooting well, his defense has been strong and he has been a good secondary playmaker. Playing more time as the lead playmaker I think will help him a ton because he defers to DJ a lot.

Meanwhile, DeRozan is putting up 27ppg on .510/.371 shooting.

They did beat the Bucks in one of those games but I know what you are saying. That strength of schedule is a little surprising to me. They still have alot of bad teams to play. After going through a good workout at Target Center, Poetlt has been upgraded from out to cleared to play tonight.
He'll make his return after missing 7 games due to a stint in health & safety protocols.
Finally, the Championship run can commence.
He is a great player but I just dont think he is the missing piece
Spurs are tied for 3rd worst record in the league. We are on pace to be under the original Vegas win totals. Pop might have to wait another year to get the record, which is pretty depressing honestly.
