Lonnie Walker has played ~48 minutes total in the last month. Just completely disappeared from the Lakers’ rotation.

Starting with the 2024-25 salary cap year, any team that is below the minimum salary floor (90% of the cap) on the first day of the regular season will not receive a tax distribution.
— Bobby Marks (@BobbyMarks42) April 17, 2023
Ex: San Antonio would have forfeited $15.2M this season.
For example:
— Bobby Marks (@BobbyMarks42) April 17, 2023
A team over the apron in 2023-24 cannot send out a player(s) earning $33M and take back $40M. https://t.co/9c9qe25gjE
Trade rules for teams that exceed the apron (first or second) is reduced from 125% to 110% in the 2023-24 salary cap year through the last day of the regular season.
— Bobby Marks (@BobbyMarks42) April 17, 2023
Teams over the apron starting in the 2024 offseason cannot take back a player contract exceeding 100%.
This trade loophole is now closed in the new CBA.
— Bobby Marks (@BobbyMarks42) April 17, 2023
Any player that renegotiates and extends his contract cannot be traded for 6 months.
Turner technically could have been because the extension in year 1 did not exceed 105%. https://t.co/fMbPGdAjAe
For example:
— Bobby Marks (@BobbyMarks42) April 17, 2023
Player A has a $38.8M player option in 2024-25 and is extension eligible.
He can decline that number and sign an extension for less in year 1. https://t.co/CqAHG7Jlge
If teams stay under the second apron in three out of the following four years, however, the pick becomes unfrozen and is able to dealt, sources told me and @BobbyMarks42. This rule goes into effect at the start of the 2024-25 season. https://t.co/3GtPy8aik3
— Tim Bontemps (@TimBontemps) April 17, 2023
ESPN Reporting with @BobbyMarks42: 2023-2024 NBA In-Season Tournament schedule is expected to include quarters, semis and finals in early December. Prize money: $500K per player on winning team, $200K per player on runner-up; $100K per on semifinal loser; $50K per quarter loser.

There is already talk about the season being too many games, needing to reduce back to backs, etc. Now they're going to add this?
Rockets won the tie-breaker with the Spurs. They will be considered to have 2nd worst record and cannot fall past sixth in the draft. (Spurs can pick as low as seventh.) Heat won the tie-breaker with Warriors and Clippers. Rockets pick from Clippers will be 20th.

They are only adding one overall game, the final of this tournament. All of the other games are going to be already planned regular season games.CC09LawAg said:

Yeah, we have the #2 pick in the second round. Houston didn't own their 2nd round pick.Sher Thing said:
Not a big deal and the Spurs also get to pick ahead of Houston in the second round now.
Toronto wants 3 firsts plus a starting level player for OG? Don't think that's gonna work.Quote:
The market for OG Anunoby was hot at the trade deadline and should grow in the offseason, executives tell Heavy Sports. The Grizzlies, according to ESPN's Zach Lowe, offered three first-round picks in a package for Anunoby, and it will take more than that to secure Anunoby this summer. Among the teams potentially looking to make a run at Anunoby: the Knicks, Warriors, Nets, Pistons and Pelicans.

Spurs/Rockets have same chance at 1-4 picks.
The lottery only chooses the top 4 teams, then the rest go in order.
If the Pistons AND Rockets get a top 4 pick, but Spurs do not, Spurs automatically get #5
If Pistons OR Rockets get a top 4 pick, but Spurs do not, Spurs automatically get #6
If Pistons, Rockets, and Spurs all miss top 4 picks, the Spurs automatically get #7
Chances for Spurs:
#1: 14%
#2: 13.4%
#3: 12.7%
#4: 12%
#5: 14.8%
#6: 26%

The Knicks active roster cap is 10mm over the luxury tax line, but that is before they resign Josh Hart, which it seems both sides want to do. They can free up some money by cutting Derrick Rose.
I would rather have Naz Reid from Minnesota, but Robinson is more proven. Just not as good on offense or passing, but probably a lot better on defense.

Does high post count?
Maybe because Luka doesn't exactly have a Tyson Chandler or DeAndre Jordan down low to lob to. Kristaps averaged 20ppg in Dallas. Christian Wood only takes 30% of his shots at the basket - he takes more from three. Their other bigs are JaVale McGee, Dwight Powell, Davis Bertans, and Maxi Kleber. Not exactly guys that can get those tough paint points.Ag Natural said:It would if this was 2011.
