I have watched a lot of professional sports over the years. I don't think I've ever been hurt over a trade or someone changing teams. This is a first. I know, HTFU and all that. But I really think I might be done. I'm not even all that mad. I'm just ambivalent towards this team in the same way I am the cowboys. And at this time last night, I would called myself a super fan. Wow.

Same. I'm 50. Lifetime hardcore Dallas sports fan. While I may have disagreed with some trades, I've always seen the logic. I just fail to see this one in any capacity. This is a gut punch to every Mavs fan. The new ownership let some closet homosexual GM who has been in the game for 3 years get carried away in his own ridiculous process and hubris

I listened to the A&M games with my dad in the late 70's, but my first NCAA memory was Magic vs Larry. They hit the league in '79, then the Mavs expansion team was in '80. 1979- '80 was also the greatest Aggies basketball team until Acie came along. So, yeah, the Mavs kinda started at the same time as the modern NBA, and at the very point when I started loving the game at both the pro and college level. So yeah, I didn't keep up when they were losing 70 games per season in the 90's, but I spent most of the 80's wishing they'd just get over on LA once, wondering if I'd ever get over the 2006 Finals and the 2007 implosion, not believing what I was seeing in 2011 (thank goodness, because the Rangers...still too soon). It's definitely a gut punch.

Even worse than it just being the fact that its the GD lakers is they sent him off with a huge chip on his shoulder to be in better shape with possibly the one person who could teach and motivate him to actually be more professional.

LeBron will be there just long enough to teach him how to play at a HoF level into his 40's.

When AD inevitably gets hurt I'm going to fear for Nico's safety.

Ftr, I'm not going to spend one second fearing for Nico's safety

Luka will just eat the chip anyway.

The videos of Luka deplaning in Los Angeles are too much for me.

Speaking of other companies I don't care about...and they're right.

In-n-out is very meh. Their fries are borderline inedible.

Seriously. How any self respecting Texan could make such a terrible statement is inexcusable.

Whataburger is just way over-priced. Braum's is the best by far, then Culver's. In-n-Out is affordable. Whataburger combo is $12 or more. Ridiculous.

What do you think about Five Guys? Cheeseburger, regular fries, and a drink is $25.

I don't think it's a grand gambling conspiracy. I think it's an ownership group that doesn't know basketball, doesn't have winning championships as a priority, and therefore put the basketball side of franchise completely in the hands of a guy who has been in the league for all of 3 years. A guy who got lost in analytics, angry about Luka's weight, and gradually talked himself into doing an insane deal while consulting only his buttbuddy who was going to be primary beneficiary of said deal

This is where I'm at. The telling comment to me was when he was bragging on how quiet the deal was kept by the Laker's GM. All that tells me is he is too stupid to understand that it was 100% in the Lakers organization's best interests to make sure this deal didn't leak and a bidding war break out. And what that tells me is the this guy was in a bubble all on his own and he did not really have an accurate perception of how the rest of the world would view this decision.

Haven't been there in a while. I try to avoid drunks everywhere. 5 Guys has the best fries, as the only ones that aren't frozen.

Nico probably thought if word of the trade leaked the bidding war would be for AD.

Except that they are a soggy, mushy mess served in a falling apart paper bag

This is how my dad and grandfather felt when Jerry fired Landry. I remember telling them it worked out, but he didn't care anymore. I get it now.
