He's awful defensively, has massive foot and back problems, and has played just 83 of 212 games. I'm pretty happy to not trade a rookie with promise and two firsts for him.

Need to fill that 15th spot with a center. If this dude only managed 100 minutes in 40 games in Washington, he is never getting ahead of Branham.

Milwaukee needed to dump him to get apron room for Kuz' trade kicker.

DeAndre Hunter and Daniels were holding their defense together. Bogi has been down but he's better than Mann, especially on defense.

Not a good look for the Hawks.

Only thing you can say is better is LaVert is better at creating than Hunter.

But talent is downgraded for sure

Yea. I mean I'm not sure how much worse it makes them tbh. IMO it will be marginal. I still think they end up with a 9th or 10th worst record in the east at the end of the day.

I feel like Chicago should still be making moves.

IMO what will make it more beneficial for the Spurs is not the impact of the moves as much as the signal it sends to the rest of the Hawks. This is Atlanta ownership telling the team they're not trying to win any more this season.

I think the owners are just making them cut salary and they only have so many options.

Atlanta has been constantly signing players to long, overpriced (but not ridiculously) contracts. John Collins, Kevin Huerter, Bogi, Hunter, Capela, etc. These contracts have hampered them in making other moves and they have had to make multiple cost cutting moves that don't help them get better. Just a constant 1 step forward 1 step back.

Hawks traded Hunter (2nd best healthy player) and Bogi for

Lavert: since Jan 1: 6.8p, 3.2r, 3.5a on .313/.215 shooting
Terence Mann: 6p/2r/3a this season
Bones Hyland: 11mpg for LAC. Shooting 39% from field
Niang: no defense backup stretch4 putting up 8.7/3.7 with good shooting numbers. 3x games over 15p this year, two in blow outs against tanking teams.
