Yes, and I like Avery. But not for the hc of spurs.

The only guy the Spurs should be hiring is Tuomas Iisalo.

But I feel like Pop gonna make them hire Mitch because he's been the ultimate yes man this year.

It's like Pop wants to prove he can trot out any of his assistants and make the playoffs to show how great he is. Meanwhile, we move down the ranks for the draft when we need to be doing all we can to maximize our draft stock this summer.

Coaches and players don't tank. They are trying to win their next job or next contract. What's idiotic is blaming them. Front offices orchestrate tank jobs and they've done a pretty good job IMO. They've won 4 games since Wemby went down. I think its extremely toxic to simply not compete, it forms bad habits. So I'm fine with them winning a few down the stretch and losing a few percentage points in the lottery. There isn't that big of a possible range for them to land in.

He's saying the front office tanked that season by trading away White, Poeltl, DeRozan, DeJounte and the biggest loss of all, letting Lonnie walk in free agency.

I don't think that team (especially with the injuries) could have won more than 22 games.

I'm all aboard the tank train. Let Castle, Devin, and Jeremy figure stuff out. But as long as Fox is playing, we are going to be able to win games, especially against teams like Dallas right now.

Once again, it makes no sense to complain about the approach. They won 22 games with a team torn down to the nub. They won Wemby and promptly won 22 games again while NOT trying to lose. In fact they had to get hot at the end of the season to even get there. They already have too many wins to get in that bottom 5 or 6 so why not just play and hope good habits carry over to next season? Nobody is going to convince me that picking between 5 vs 9 is going to be that critical.
