Reed is growing up
Going 2-0 without Durant seems good
.. and that, boys and girls, was the night that Steph Curry knew that his days as top dog in the NBA were numbered. When a white boy went scorched earth and scored 31 points in his own house.
We won that game because of Reed. At some point it became clear that GS couldn't guard him and he just feasted. They started doubling him and he still torched them. Hell of a game by that young man.
So happy for him. He was doubting himself so much - I credit KD for most of it.
KD would build him up, tell him to shoot, chest bump him when he did good things, etc. this is KD's team and you could tell he knew all Reed needed was confidence.

With Reed turning the corner this season it looks like the Hawks got the worst player of the top four picks in the 2024 draft despite having the #1 pick
If Reed can keep this up, this team has very few flaws.

This great defensive and rebounding team from last year added 2 shooters this season between KD and the emergence of Sheppard. Now if only Sengun could get reffed the same way as the rest of the league, this team should be 1 of 3-4 contenders for the title.

Refs have always used uneven standards

I'll admit that I was starting to think his ceiling was a good 6th man after his first few weeks didn't look like his offseason promise

Well, he was at that point.
We've talked a few times that if the Rockets hadn't gotten so good so fast last year, the narrative of last season probably would have been that they really blew that draft pick.

I was saying it all the way up until this season; he looked like ass on the court. However, glad to see the turnaround and the KD Effect cannot be any more appreciated. He's been a perfect fit on this team and his chemistry and impact on the young guys is showing.
Different make-up than last year, but right now I think we have the perfect balance of vets and youngsters - on and off the court.
And yall know I have some close insight with the team, right?

The only one I wasn't sure would get on board was Alpi, but he's all in now too.

Is tomorrow our first B2B game? It feels like we've had a really favorable schedule for our injury situation. Glad that Sheppard is up to speed and ready to take serious minutes.

This is the first b2b. We have another on this week Friday-Saturday as well.
Reed's state line was solid, even though he didn't really take a lot of shots. He and Jabari had the highest + points 33 for their time on the court, had good numbers. 4 steals a couple of blocks 6 rebounds only 9 pts but didn't shoot much

Didn't get to watch but checked the box. Steven Adams' 13/12/2/1/1 in 17 minutes is wild. 9 of 10 from the line even wilder.

He is an absolute monster on the offensive glass and there can't be a more efficient player in the league getting it done in limited minutes.
