The pingpong balls gave them a generational talent...again.

Average NBA recovery for grade 2 hamstring is 35 days.

Would Rockets prefer to get the 6 seed to go through LA (probably no Luka) then Spurs rather than 5 seed for Denver then OKC?

I'd rather line up against OKC than SA, honestly

The "why not both?" scenario would be to have Denver pass the Lakers for 4th and the Rockets stay at 5. The Nuggets would have to finish ahead of LA, though, since the Lakers won 2 of 3 against Denver.

Denver has an interesting last two games (Spurs and Thunder). If 1-2 seeding is settled, the Nuggets may catch a couple of teams that might be dialing minutes back for starters.

The Lakers have Dallas and Utah among their last 5, but also a still-chasing-the-1-seed Thunder on Tuesday.

All of that to say that the Lakers are the wounded animal that either Houston or Minnesota should want in round one.

Spurs/OKC is basically set in stone at this point. OKC is ahead by 3 in the loss column with 5 games left including Utah and the Lakers. I would be shocked if Denver didn't pass OKC for 3rd. Just 0.5 games back.

They wrapped their arms around Amen like they were trying to foul him going up and still no call

Sengun is a real head-scratcher. There are times where he looks like a Jokic starter kit, and there are times when I want to trade his ass at the first opportunity.

He's still soooo young at 23.

I feel the same. As much as I've wanted to trade Sengun in the past, I'm now in the trade whatever we have to minus Durant and Sengun for Giannes….even if it means Amen.

Hard to quantify how much money Tari has lost himself this year. He's the worst player on the floor almost every night

Tari's decision to turn down generational money is certainly… a decision.

Jabari getting interviewed at halftime looked like Tina Turner with his black eye. Did Ike…I mean Draymond… get him with a right hook?

Tari couldn't be playing worse. Horrible defense, turnovers, bricks from all 3 levels, indecisive

Curry is the Rockets' biggest nemesis I've ever seen. Close 2nd would be the early-mid 90s Sonics.

ETA… OF COURSE this is his 1st game back after being out 27.

Ime drew up a good play at the end. He catches heat for his late game coaching, and rightfully so. Glad to see him paying attention.

My son said it best…between the blown lead and the announcers all over Curry's and GS's dick, it doesn't even feel like we won

Interesting choice by Ime to go with Tate and Holiday down the stretch over Reed who was playing really well today.

During the time he was on the bench in the 4th, we routinely had Bari and/or Amen up on Curry and he cooked us anyways. Once he flips that switch, it doesn't really matter who is guarding him, and certainly not who is standing on the weak side. Curry just shoots over the top of everyone. Maybe if Tari was having a good game, I could see benching Reed for him; however, Tate and Holiday shouldn't have taken Reed's minutes tonight.

There are games where Reed is a complete liability, this wasn't one of those. We were scoring at will with Reed in that game. He started, but only got 26 minutes. He was +10 in those minutes and we were up by 10 when he left the game with 4:51 to play (we were -1 by the time he got back in). Steph was on the floor for several minutes during the 4th with Reed, and didnt score. The moment Ime yanked Reed, Steph went supernova. I'm not suggesting Reed was locking down Steph, but he certainly wasn't a weak link on D tonight. At the same time, we failed to score on 5 of our 7 possessions. I generally agree with Ime's preference for prioritizing defense, but I think he needs to let Reed have a longer leash if he is playing well. That should have been a much easier win than Ime made it.

Sengun +15
Sheppard +10
Thompson +2

everyone else was in the negatives against GSW. Okogie (-7) and Eason/Durant (-4) were the lowest

I dunno if anyone else is watching. After 26-5 down to start it's been 49-31 the other way.

This one has been CHIPPY, with Brooks, Green and Amen all going back and forth.

57-54 Suns at the break.

I'm watching. This 4th quarter is fun. It was chippy early but as the Suns faded so did their fight.

After 26-5, the rest of the game was 114-79 Rockets.

After the first quarter, 98-68 Rockets.

I'll say it, that was the best win of the year.

Here is a note on Thursday's tilt between the Lakers and the Warriors:

Steph, LeBron won't play in regular season as Warriors rest Curry

Quote:

The Golden State Warriors ruled out Stephen Curry for Thursday night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers, meaning there will be zero matchups between Curry and LeBron James this regular season.

The article title is a little deceptive, so the other part of the story is that LeBron sat in their first matchup:

Quote:

James missed the first matchup on opening night because of sciatica. Curry missed the previous two matchups because of a persistent right knee issue and, in an effort to manage his comeback, the Warriors are opting to sit him on the front side of this upcoming back-to-back, holding him out of the final Lakers game.

Anyway, thanks Warriors.
