We are now 3 games back of the 3rd best record in the entire league. For as badly as we've played lately - it's a perfect time to get hot.

But it's also getting close to time where we have to evaluate where Fred is and how likely it's going to be for him to be back and ready before the playoffs. If not, we pretty much have to make a move that includes a true PG.

Ime Udoka tells me Steven Adams has an ankle sprain. Quite a bit of swelling. But nothing broken.

Great 4th quarter.

Hell of a game by Reed. He led us in scoring and completely flipped the game. He played with some serious swagger and San Antonio's bigger guards did not bother him. Most impressively, he actually played some fantastic defense and really pressured the ball well.

He is such an odd player. Some days he plays like a scared passive little kid, other days he has a serious dose of MFer. When he plays with energy he is an absolute game changer...when he plays passive he's still a game changer, just in the opposite direction. I'm sure his performance today earned him a bit of grace from Ime...let's hope he can keep that MFer rolling.

Dude is super talented and when he's in a groove he can legitimately be a difference maker on both sides of the ball.

Right now, the game speeds up for him once he makes a mistake. He goes from great to dumb mistake after dumb mistake bc he's going too fast on offense and then he's trying to make up for it on defense. Ime pulls him and makes him sit and he regains his composure. If that goes away with time (next year) we've got a guy that I think can run the point but also doesn't need the ball in his hands to be great, so Amen/Aply can do their thing as well. It's a great mix of players for the next 6-10 years.

Following up with some thoughts on Reed…his confidence is growing. After he hit that first big three in the fourth he knew he was going to shoot and make another, even with great defense being played on him. Then his hair was on fire on defense, full court pressure. First time I've see him at that level, albeit in a short stretch. I think he's got that streak in him, hopefully it comes out more.

Reed having another good 4th quarter. I didn't think we'd get much out of Capela when we picked him up but it's nice to have him with Adams out.

Reed activating a clutch gene would be a great development and he's made some big shots the last couple games.

They've got to stop forcing the ball to KD in iso. Run a play for him. Anything. Get him alone on 1/3 of the court so he can try to go to work, or go elsewhere.

Too often it's just iso KD and when the defense ratchets up and they start poking at the ball with 1-2 guys he's losing it over and over. They know he's the go-to and they attack and when the games close KD ain't passing it.

I thought Reed had another great game. The ball wasn't falling on layups, but he was good at everything else.
