Bama is still ranked in the top 25. Looks like they will take the series from Georgia this weekend. Bama also had some injuries as well.

A&M needs to give Patrick Hallmark a serious look. Dude just led UTSA to a 39-11 season and a conference title. He's a Texas guy who knows how to build a program and win with less.

The coach at Troy University caught my eye last year when we were desperately looking for a coach. Skyler Meade has made big strides in Div I with Troy. Take a look. Might just be worth looking his way.

I believe Schnall is going to stay right where he is. He was a catcher at Coastal and I believe this is his dream job.

I don't think we have anything to gain by firing him now. Earley may have been in over his head and done a poor job this year, but there's no need to publicly humiliate him. If we're going to make a coaching change, I assure you the search is already underway. With only 4 (likely) games remaining in the season, let Earley finish the year. It's not like waiting until May 22 or 23 to whack him will be a factor in hiring his replacement.

No it's not. OU raised his buyout last year, and why would he leave to rebuild a dumpster fire program when he's stabilized and is seeing some results at OU?

How does that work? We only hire older coaches looking for a golden parachute that are buddy with someone on AD.
Are we all going to feel the same after a series win at UGA? I made my criticism and ate my crow with the turn around. We're back to the low Low after a couple of high Highs. I'm tired of the back and forth. Big guy Trev… you're the one that gets paid to figure it out, so figure it out which one it is. While not too old, I think the ideal age is a little younger.
Bama is 39-13 (15-12) so not too bad
You make 2 major plays at Bakich & O'Sullivan imo. If you can't move either you move on to Vaughn, Wes Johnson, & Canham. Shouldn't get past those 5, but if you do somehow Skip Johnson & Cliff Godwin seem like decent enough parachute hires.
I like Vaughn but I'd feel a lot better about him if he'd actually get out of a regional this season. If he doesn't, he'd be 0-5 in trying to get to supers, and I'd probably look elsewhere.

Godwin can't get to Omaha, let's put him in a real conference so he can really get beat.
I think we will have the same coach next spring that we have now. At least he will have a year of head coaching experience at an SEC school.

One name is at least look into is Dave Van Horn. He's had his ups and downs at Arkansas but it's mostly been ups other than a lack of post season success. He seems to have figured out you need offense so maybe that's about to change? Again, just a name to consider…
This. I'm afraid the players would hit a new low if we fired him now. They still need to play. I don't want to see them reach a new level of quit because we took away their coach before the season is over. This place is gonna be gnarly when they realize earley is back in the dugout next season
They can't quit more than they did this weekend. Missouri's bench even called them out on it.
They quit while he's coaching, which might infer he's part of the reason they quit.

I would be happy to have him but I don't see why he would leave, Arkansas is heavily invested in baseball even more so than we are

Why do you say that? He's an institution there and both sides seem very very happy with each other. No way he leaves Florida. Wish we had their basketball coach as well but it ain't going to happen.

Those are ridiculous comments. Stoneca is correct. He's 56 and makes the finals so many times and is always in contention. He's led them to the World Series like 8 out of the last 12 years or so and the last two years. Sully isn't coming to us but he is in no way past his prime. Ridiculous. He's easily the best coach in college baseball now. It would be like Saban dropping it all to take a flier on us during his prime.
