I'm willing to assume the russkies are smart enough to cover the Houston trip story with real tickets, including sending real people on the flights. If he's giving an FBI agent that cover story, I'm sure there is work in the background to make it stand up to scrutiny - at least as much as reasonably possible.

I kinda doubt they would take it that far. Maybe buying the real tickets, especially since they own a travel agency, but not sending real people on their flights. They don't have extensive manpower.

Nothing in their cover would really hold up to too much scrutiny. No family, no childhood, no school friends, etc. Any significant amount of digging and they're busted. The key to their cover is staying under the radar, not being able to survive an investigation into them.

In most of the showrunner interviews, when asked about spy logistics, they usually have a practical explanation behind them (one of the creators worked in the CIA). They just explain that the audience is only seeing a small portion of what's going on, and they don't bog down the show with having to explain every piece of spycraft/cover/etc.

The best ending I can hope for is that Philip finally convinces his heart to turn against Elizabeth and her delusional loyalty. She's going to cross a line somehow (either by moving to kill Stan, or something regarding the Summit), and hopefully Philip will absolve himself and do the right thing. But with this show, I'm not hopeful/expecting anywhere close to a nice ending. At this point, if Henry and either one of Stan/Aderholt can make it out of this okay, I'll call it a win.

So, right now we have 2 "suicide devices" introduced....the pill and the extra morphine that has been saved up for the sick wife.

What if Elizabeth swipes the morphine to either kill Stan or Phil and then the wife makes the decision to end her life and it is gone?

Did Harvest take the cyanide pill or die from the bullet wound?

There is literally a 0% chance that Henry makes it out OK if anyone is caught doing spy stuff, his life will be destroyed (at best). That is the story that continues on, after it goes down. In real life, assets are frozen, citizenship is denied, people are deported, etc.

I'm fairly certain he took it when Phil turned away after he gave him the messages. The locket was open on his chest. The bullet would have probably killed him eventually.

That's what I thought as well, but I wanted to be sure.

What if Stan decides to take justice into his own hands, takes out Philip and Elizabeth, Paige either dies too or goes on undetected, and Stan adopts Henry/takes him under his wing? That would be some justice delivered, ice cold.

I'm leaning that direction...except Elizabeth takes the pill and later there is a confrontation between Stan and Phil. Phil talks Stan into taking Henry (and maybe Paige if he can convince Stan she wasn't involved) and then Phil either kills himself or gets killed. Fast forward several years to Henry playing in the NHL and Paige sitting at a desk in a nice suit with a window view of the Capitol Building.

I thought he died from the bullet wound. Why else would Philip have taken the necklace off the body? I assumed he took it so that he would have the pill for later use.

The locket seemed pretty obviously open when Phillip looked back at him. And they focused on the guy gasping, etc. as he died. They were definitely showing us (and him) what will happen if Elizabeth takes her pill.

This whole scene with Philip realizing what horrible things he had to do to do the job correctly was genius. Really showcased the sheer torment that performing his job has become.

My prediction - Stan figures it out and decides to confront Philip & Elizabeth on his own because it is personal. He has them at gunpoint and right when you think they are going down, Stan's new wife comes out from behind with a gun of her own and starts speaking Russian and saves Philip & Elizabeth from Stan.

I wonder if Stan's wife might be US undercover assigned to monitor him after Stan racked up quite a resume with Nina, Oleg, the Vlad threat. Maybe they wanted to see if he was up to anything else and where his loyalties lie. She might be able to vouch for Stan if he gets taken to task for not realizing his neighbors were illegals.

With so much build-up for Philip's continued wrecking of his conscience, I think they'll build up to giving Philip a Sophie's choice of sorts, not sure if it'll be America/Russia, or Elizabeth/Stan, Elizabeth/Henry, etc. He's such a broken man at this point, I think that will be the climactic moment for him at least....and he'll be ruined either way.

He seems destined to play a role in Stan finding out about Phillip and Elizabeth.

Something stuck out at me during the scene where Elizabeth and Paige were walking down the street... Did anyone else feel like there was emphasis put on the blue car pulling out of the garage? I feel like maybe they're already being surveilled by someone and it won't be revealed to the viewer until later.

Beyond counting blue cars, what did yall think of the convo btwn Elizabeth and Paige? Seemed pretty half assed to me. Hopefully Paige goes down.

It was her telling her mother what she thought she wanted to hear.

Seemingly impossible twist: Paige loves America and is working with authorities to observe her parents.

I think there was some of that but I also think she is a dumb 20 yr old who doesn't really know anything.
I thought Elizabeth really took the easy way out. She's always been coldly honest and at the time she should have told Paige "you're soft, I dont think you really want this and also, despite our sparring you still suck at this. You need to get out or completely dedicate your life to this" she goes soft.
Maybe it was all in there to fake us out but it feels like either Paige dies or Elizabeth dies saving her.

Also, unrelated but how great was the scene where stan was all "bro, you're my best friend, I can tell something's wrong" with phillip?
All of the 1 on 1 scenes with any two of oleg/phillip/stan are great.

Only way I'll be happy
Pastor Tim comes back and roadhouse kicks Elizabeth to where her pants fall off and we see her heinie one last time...
Phillip surrenders and gets sent back to Russia with Oleg...Phillip knocks on Martha's door and she's pregnant with triplets from a Russian hockey player
Paige and Henry are sent to Russia....Paige pushes him off the plane in the Atlantic because he won't stop being a baby

Last scene Marilyn's head is used to kickoff World Cup promoting fox's World Cup coverage
Neymar kicks it top shelf and high fives Elizabeth

Yeah, that hit me hard as well. Its was either a device to build tension or they are being surveilled.

The show has a certain pattern and when things don't fit that pattern it stands out to me like a sore thumb.

You're most likely correct. I've been watching too much westworld.

Odds are very high that it will somewhat mirror real world events. Henry might not want to throw a loud drinking party once he's back home.

Then...Elizabeth shoots her (The Departed) and they make it look like a murder suicide. (not serious)
