Eh...seems disingenuous to give him that with a very minimal, albeit memorable voice role in this.

Kind of why I barely consider Vin Diesel a part of the MCU.

Just watched it. Not all that impressed. Some funny moments, some cool moments, lotsa meh. Not one I'm gonna work too hard to watch again though.

And is it wrong that I was very happy to see that Sebastian the rat survived at the end?

Fun movie.mostly. Elba, Cena, and Kinneman were great.

But a big strike was the length. That entire Harley Quinn romance and politics of the country subplot was completely pointless and pretty boring. Seemed like they were just trying to find a way for more Margot Robbie. And how many times did leadership change hands? Four? Doesn't really matter because I wasn't interested at all.

I'd like to see that one person explain how this movie could possibly be derivative.


Obviously this kind of movie isn't for everyone, with its mix of absurdity, silliness, and gore.
I see it as Guardians of the Galaxy crossed with Slither, which I imagine most of the people who dislike this movie enjoyed Guardians but would have hated Slither if they saw it.

I liked some of the characters and some of the scenes, but overall Suicude Squad 2 was a disappointment to me. I was hoping for some combination of GOTG and Kick-Ass, but instead it felt like a DC movie trying to be light-hearted. I want to like DC, but it looks like I'll never get there.

Also, I would have preferred the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man as the antagonist.
