This show needs more attention. Crazy that I know almost no one that is watching it. Hell of an episode.

Brutal ending. But yeah, I think it is most likely one of the Ross cousins. I think it could be John vs Billy, and Billy's guilt/panic in this episodd may be from what he knows about John. But for a wild card, don't rule out Lori.

Yeah and we still have the scene from the preview where Lori tells Mare she didn't know about something at the time. What that was could be relevant or a tease. It could just be this affair stuff. We also had Billy hiding whatever in his tackle box. Now I'm thinking it was her panties or something. Ugh.

Kidnappings are usually strangers. Murder is usually someone they know intimately it is rarely random.

John and Billy are still my primaries. And Billy was the intimate one - we think. I suppose it could have been John but occurred at Billy's place. I noticed Mare eyeing Billy's bottle of beer when he left I think we may see that she took that for a DNA swab test.

I'm just thinking Billy is too obvious this early because they tried so hard to throw suspicion on him. Same with the priest. Billy seems like the scrawny rube, whereas John is the smooth one. I think it will come down to John v Lori. Him trying to cover it up, or her as the jealous spouse. Either way, I do think Billy knows who did it, or at least knows John is the kid's father and has his suspicions from there

yeah maybe ......now it seems that way.... but not until this week.

Billy was barely shown in the first 4 episodes. Which is why I thought it was him. And it appears he is guilty of something. They have now shown he had Erin living with him. And he is in the credits for the last 2 episodes plus the previews showing something going on. But yes it could be now misleading towards him and making us think the only thing about John is that he was having an affair (again). But I was always suspicious of John and Lori to some degree as well. Can't eliminate any of those three. But I agree Deacon Mark has been an easy scapegoat all along which is why it is clearly not him.

Richard still peaks my interest too.

BTW the reveal of Helen's affair with the old guy at the funeral reception was a riot - Mare was laughing her ass off in the car. I loved her quick little "homewrecker" comment later.

Helen and her relationship with Mare have been one of the best parts of this show.

John has been on my "professor in the library with the candlestick" pick from early on. Anyone in a show like this playing a semi-prominent role while being one of the only people that isn't a suspect always raises a flag. Billy fits that mold somewhat too, but John's role in the story has been a little bigger. Billy has always seemed too much of a runt, but not ruling him out. So I'm going John then Lori then Billy in my whodunit likelihood order, but could be totally wrong

OK here's my predictions going into the last few episodes:

Billy/John/Lois are all red-herrings. Billy and John are just acting guilty cause John's been having an affair, and Billy helped cover it up. There may be some history of Erin knowing about the affair when she lived at the house, maybe one of her "colleagues" on the escort site.

Which leads me to Jess (Erin's former best friend) and Dylan. Jess has derailed the investigation multiple times by not revealing all the info about her friend. She clearly has a thing for Dylan as well (bad guys get all the chicks). We know Erin left the preacher in a rage to meet up with someone, and Dylan's whereabouts that night are unknown? Maybe Dylan found out Erin was trying to scam him for the eye surgery, then teamed up with Jess to tell him where the money was and they were going to steal it. Erin confronts them at the park and ends up getting shot with a grazing bullet. Never meant to be a murder but the confrontation went out of control and Dylan/Jess dumped her body in the creek.

Guy Pearce's character is just who Mare ends up with in the end. Mare resolves her internal trauma and starts dating him, he uses this investigation to write the next great American novel. Zabel is forever remembered as a local hero and his ex-fiance dies from syphilis related complications.

It's amazing that this show isn't receiving more attention. I was the first person I know that started watching this & I only know 2 other people watching it.

No. I would not say I (or my wife) was shook though. It wasn't disturbing or anything just intense.

I'm still not sure which scene they're referring to. The scene in the bar that's supposed to be somewhat reminiscent of the basement scene in Silence of the Lambs? If so, the Twitter post is being somewhat dramatic.

The final ten minutes of episode five were tense as hell, complete with a tragic, game-changing death. I could totally see how some people might be "shook" from that. Sure, "buzzing for days" is a little over the top, but whatever.

You spoilered it if the guy above is still reading but...

Yes... I think it was partly just the sudden unexpected resolution of that with 2 episodes let.

But also yes... people tend to be overly dramatic with superlatives on twitter when they have seen something others have not. How many times have we gotten that type of thing about an upcoming episode of a viral TV show only for it to be something less than jaw dropping.

I mean unless it is red wedding, purple wedding, Tyrion on father's day, or hodor level i'm gonna be disappointed - and i knew about 3 of those so that was fun for me.

Wait.so it's now a spoiler to talk about an episode that's been out for a week on the thread that's about the show?
TCTTS
How long do you want to ignore this user?

Show threads are spoiler zone free-for-alls the second an episode airs. We've been doing it that way for years. Besides, I didn't even say the person's name.
TCTTS
How long do you want to ignore this user?

It's not. I don't know why people are suddenly implying as much. If you haven't seen a show/episode, it's a known "rule" that you shouldn't click in the show's thread.
Enrico Pallazzo
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I just think his question didn't need to be answered so specifically, but whatever. This is your board. The rest of us just post here
TCTTS
How long do you want to ignore this user?
AG
Give me a break with the "my board" crap. Someone else immediately chimed in with the same sentiment as I did. We've had this discussion countless times. TV threads have always been spoiler-filled free-for-alls. It's not "my" rule either. I just know I would never click on a thread for a show I haven't seen that's nearly six weeks into its run. Further, I wouldn't ask "Has the big thing happened yet?" if I wasn't caught up. Not to mention, I didn't even respond to his post specifically.

Not that the thread has to be spoiler free but.....

if someone asks a question about some part they have not seen yet, it just would be courteous to not spoiler it in the answer to that person. Which is what I did. Then they can just read replies and not read the entire thread and get an answer without being spoilered.

imho.

And it was answered so nobody needed to do so in detail.

Anyway. Just common courtesy I think.

I don't think anyone was chastising your reply. The one above it though was more blatantly spoilery.

Ha, I didn't even spoil it! To say that there's "a death" in a murder mystery is not a spoiler.

We're really splitting hairs here. I didn't even say who, if anyone, died. Now I have to determine what is actually considered a spoiler from a previously aired episode based on the type of question asked?

I just said the scene was reminiscent of the scene from Silence of the Lambs and nothing more. I didn't even say what characters were involved in the scene or if anyone died.
TCTTS
How long do you want to ignore this user?

I wouldn't worry about it. It's funny how no one has an issue with the the question itself, a question that's just inviting spoilers. Why anyone would even ask something like that, without having seen all the episodes yet, is beyond me.

All he said was he was 4 episodes in - so would he have seen it already?

The answer was NO. That did not invite spoilers imho.

My only elaboration was it was not as jaw dropping as promoted.

The tweet he included was from May 4th..... I am sure he thought he might have seen it since he had seen 2 episodes AFTER that tweet the May 9th and May16th episodes. It was logical to ask I think.

I don't watch this show and happened to click on this thread at the worst possible time to see opinions on the show, but as far as the argument at hand there are no such things as a *********spoiler on a show thread where the episode has already aired.

Spoiler arguments are usually started over books or some outside source ruining things for people. If you click on a show thread and aren't caught up in a show and get mad then you are just an idiot.
Zombie Jon Snow
How long do you want to ignore this user?

You bothered to go to page 4 of a thread for a show you don't watch to police spoiler talk.

Congrats on your accomplishment.

PS - nobody said there should not possibly be spoilers in a show thread. It was a specific answer to a specific question about whether something viral (but not really) had already happened with how far he had watched. That's a case where not answering that specifically with a spoiler seems like the right thing to do. That's all.

I just happened to click on recent posts to see show sentiment not policing anything, and I stumbled on stupidity.
