Theory hat was Helena not Helly at the end and they removed the block when alarm went off

That was heart wrenching.

What an incredible show and episode. Such a mind****

The most oddest yet great episode of any show I've ever watched.

Initial thoughts:

I kept thinking Helly was actually Helena encouraging Mark to finish the file, but that also would have been cheap.

The Marks Conversation was great. Never considered that they might be at odds with each other, but now seems obvious.

The scene with Dylan reading a letter from his outie was so touching and emotional.

Finally, Helly coming around the corner was epic. Of course, there was no doubt what he would do, but can each Mark now have his own beautiful woman?

Great episode and great season. Honestly have no idea which direction they take it from here. Seems this episode could work as a series finale, but I have complete faith in the show-runners at this point.

It absolutely was. Did you see that look of pure contempt she gave Gemma? Helly wouldn't have done that. Helena would have, though. I think your theory might be right because Helly had already given Mark S the go ahead and made a distraction for him to save Gemma, then she just comes around the corner and beckons him like a little puppy? It was a last ditch effort to use his love for Helly against him. She gets to keep her pet innie, and she gets to feel superior over Gemma because of it.

The look she gave Gemma definitely gave me pause. It was almost…gloating? "Helly was never cruel"

Fantastic episode. I love the emotional roller coaster I feel, I both am annoyed at Mark but also so inspired by him.

Innie mark is a young dumb teenager drunk in love. If he only knew he just got played by Helena. As Irv said Helly was never that cruel. Curious if the give away will be whether she knows what "Equator" means.

Glad Gemma and Emile came away spared, or else I would have switched to Samsung.

We obviously don't know what exactly they planned to do with Gemma after Cold Harbor, but it seems like Cold Harbor was a success, right? She didn't remember the baby or Mark, and Mark turned his back on her for Helly.

Interesting episode. Felt like a movie, and not just bc of the longer run time. The Marks conversation was the most fascinating part for me.

I still want to know.....

It was confirmed innie Mark was "refining" Gemma's memories or tempers or personality or whatever. The numbers evoked emotions.

So were the other innies refining someone else down there? Someone they were each connected to? Or was everyone all refining Gemma's? But if anyone could refine Gemma's, why the NEED for Mark to be there and do it?

And also, after Milchik left the envelope with Dylan in the break room, he took off running and starting taking his suit off while running. Took off his jacket and tie. I thought for sure at that point he had seen the light and was running to help save Gemma. Then he shows up in MDR fully dressed again for his showdown with the animatronic Kier. Why was he taking his clothes off?? Where did he go??????

I mean, i guess sort of? It seemed fairly easy to undo it all if they considered it a "success". I got the impression she felt SOMETHING for Mark when he walked in. Why else would she trust a total stranger covered in blood? But it's interesting that she felt something for him then, she felt something for him as Ms. Casey, but innie Mark feels nothing for Gemma.

He had to make it to MDR in time for his part in the show. He told Dylan he was "doubly swamped" and in the hallway on the way to MDR he takes off his current tie, then, off screen, simply puts on a new striped one that better-matches the colors the marching band is wearing. I'm assuming the mono-colored tie he took off was part of his managerial uniform, perhaps under Lumon dress code guidelines or something, then he "snazzes it up" with the striped tie for his performance, haha.

That was awesome. And almost as emotional as the Mark/Gemma reunion. Dylan learning in exactly that way, that he's the badass his outtie isn't, wasn't only a great character beat, but it then gave him the last push he needed to go be said badass with his clutch vending machine move.

We started season 1 about a month ago and have binged straight through until last night. I have to say the actor playing Milchick is giving one of the best performances of anything I've seen in a very long time. His facial expressions and body language while swallowing the indignity performance review and the macabre performance with the wax figure, the menace he can convey with his controlled delivery, and then the dance sequences in both seasons are just extraordinary.

I would love to see a mash up of Parker Posey saying "saxxxon piiiiper tiiiiyum" against Arquette's "maaaaaaarkkkk"

Also, when the doctor yelled "You'll kill them all!" at Gemma and Mark as the elevator door closed, I assume he meant all of Gemma's innies? Everything that he has worked for.

As Mark S. pulled Drummond into the elevator, I practically yelled, "Kill him now, you idiot!". I just imagined that transition to Outie Mark going so differently.

That was definitely my takeaway. He's in love with her innies and didn't want to lose her.

I feel like Mark will end up with Gemma again in the end. I think between now and the end Helly/Helena will die in a heroic way to take down Lumon. Or maybe Mark does...

I still can't help but think Milchick is conflicted with Lumon a bit. All the constant jabs at his vocabulary. Is he supposed to symbolize the modern working man middle manager, over worked and over tasked with so much that at one point he snaps and revolts?

No idea how they reset for S3 (how could they possibly return to normal severed life??) , but I assume we will see them sitting at their computers as if nothing happened before revealing the results of their chaos.

So at the end there: was that outie mark turning his back on his wife or innie? If it's his innie why would give a thought to even leaving he doesn't really have a connection to Ms Casey

It was innie mark. If someone you don't know was desperately screaming for you to come with them, I'm sure you would at least consider it. But then he saw Helly and went with her so they could try to get to "The Equator"

The whole conversation with Mark while in the cabin. He was on the fence about since there would be reintegration. He just could not leave Helly.

Yes. They both switched. She went to Ms Casey and him to his innie

The different floor changed to a different innie. They kissed on the lower level so he was Mark and she was Gemma. Once they got to the severed floor they were Ms. Casey and Mark (innie). He knew to guide her from the previous convo, but his love for Helly and knowing that he would "die" if he left made him turn back.
