The Detonation App was probably the one funniest moment in the entire series.
Bryan Cranston and Bob Odenkirk are two perfect examples of this.ttaggie said:
Comedians are almost always the best actors in my opinion. It takes more to be a good comedian than it does to be a good drama actor...so for comedians to flip it, its an easier transition to make than drama actors to get comedic timing down...it cannot be taught, its just an ability that some have and some don't. Ive always wondered if Daniel Day Luis could ever act in a comedy.
Comedians are the best comedy actors? I think that's what you meant. If not, I'd very strongly disagree that comedians are the best overall actors.ttaggie said:

Their point is that comedians, in this case comedic actors, have often proven to be very good dramatic actors.BowSowy said:Comedians are the best comedy actors? I think that's what you meant. If not, I'd very strongly disagree that comedians are the best overall actors.ttaggie said:

I might be the only one, but while that bit was funny, I was bothered by how it obviously would make it crazy easy to catch Barry in the real world. The show has never gone for 100% realism, but now he is leaving voice recordings with an unknown party seeking help to detonate a bomb (which then explodes in the call's background) and walking around a neighborhood, after driving his own car, with no disguise.chick79 said:

Just feels like our master assassin is trying to get caught.

The opposite is not often true.
1) No backstory on the hit, other than the carnage/collateral damage, wife and kid left behind. That's their motivation, revenge. I may be oversimplifying, but I don't know if we;ll ever know why Barry killed the dad. I don't think it is important to the story.Quote:
Outstanding questions:
1. The flashback hit on the hotel room guy - did we get the backstory on this hit?
2. How did Fuchs convince his keepers to let him go?

I need a new series, since Better Call Saul and Ozark are near the end, and this thread pushed me over the edge - I'm going to commit to watching Barry.
Yeah I caught that. I just wasn't sure if he was that guy with the face injury or just another guy he served with.Hotdog Hamblin said:
Yes. He confirmed that he served with Barry when he first met the two LAPD cops.
This ^^Quote:
I find it weird that a guy he served with (and apparently helped save the life of) would be so motivated to take Barry down.
and what's even better, i legitimately did not know how Sally was going to react. before the news about her show getting canceled, she obviously would have been freaked out by it, but i did wonder if that experience at BanShe would leave her open to the idea...TCTTS said:
Barry's whole nonchalant bit about screwing with the BanShe exec had me rolling.
When I looked up the character's name on IMDB for my post he appeared two other times on Barry:rlb28 said:This ^^Quote:

And the fact that he was just thrown into the show.
