Holy crap... Hank watching that guy put together the blow dart gun then saying, "that's what I thought you were doing, but I didn't want to be rude."

Oh my god, that had me nearly rolling out of my seat, laughing.

At first I thought it was a baton he was assembling, then the dart came out.

I think I was going through the same though process as Hank. I was thinking, "What is he doing? Wait... is he making a dart gun? Oh snap, I think he is making a dart gun!"

Another great episode.

And my guy Michael (the dad who killed himself) getting a full-on showcase/swan-song.

The show is without doubt very, very dark.

In a way that is good. The show at least has a moral bedrock in that it shows the chaos and devastation that are the result of Barry's pathology.

His pathology makes him child-like and vulnerable in some ways, but it's good to be reminded that it IS pathology at work here.

There are like, 4 separate parts of the show that each have multiple storylines set to come to a head. Its crazy

someone explain how Barry is poisoned at one house by the widow (was that his army buddy widow?),

and then ends up in the car of the father of the first guy he murdered

how was that possible?

FYI, I'm no season 2 episode 6 now (enjoyed episode 5 enough to go back and see what the April 2019 reaction was on Texags)

umm... did you watch the show?

He was still alive but barely there. He walked out and collapsed by a trashbin. The father of the first guy he killed found him there and decided to take him to the hospital.

Was it the first guy? Or was it the actor he was supposed to kill but didn't?

He was the father of the actor Barry killed in season one. The widow who poisoned Barry had nothing to do with the father - it was her husband who served with Barry, who Barry killed. But yeah, I don't know how the father happened to find Barry by the dumpster. The father and the widow/widow's house are completely separate things, so I don't know how/why the father happened to be in that general neighborhood, and happened to stumble upon Barry by a dumpster. There must be something we're missing.

Didn't Barry not kill him but was going to and the Chechens already did?

Honestly, at this point I'm a little fuzzy on season one/two stuff. You might be right. I just know that the father and widow aren't related.

I'm honestly having a bit of a hard time following the story this season, but it's my own fault for not rewatching the whole series.

For the life of me I can't remember that actor he killed, much less how the father was able to find him this episode.

Also couldn't tell you how the cop lady's father plays into the story or how/why he suspected Fuches.

This is probably contributing to why I'm not really loving the show this season and haven't been pulled into the story very much.

I will say I'm really enjoying seeing Barry's girlfriend crash and burn though.

(And to be fair, my attention has been diverted by Better Call Saul, Obi-Wan, and Stranger Things, so this one is kind of an afterthought for me at the moment.)

Almost all of the people that are trying to kill Barry were contacted by Fuches in the first couple of episodes this season. The actor is the first guy that Barry was supposed to kill in the show, and what led to him starting the acting class. When he went to do it, he found out the Chechen's had already beat him to it, and what led him connected to those guys, IIRC.

The father of the Cousineau's girlfriend suspected Fuches simply because he was ex military and he decided to question the intelligence he was receiving.

Not just ex military, but gave training on interrogations/how to resist

He nails those kind of roles to, he just has this air of gravitas to most roles I see him in.

Yeah, hard to put my finger on, but I think it's been a step down too. Some good laughs, but I think a lot fewer. Maybe it's because it's been really disjointed with the various storylines on a 30 minute show. It's like each week we get 2 scenes from 4 different stories. Kind of unsatisfying

Earlier in the thread somebody mentioned that they rewrote a lot of season 3 to tie into season 4 after they finished writing season 4. So I think instead of a standalone season we're seeing a Part 1 with season 4 being Part 2. I'm enjoying it too but it's definitely heavier this season and I think the finale is heavy as well.

Not that the order matters, but wasn't the first guy he killed the dude in the bed? The husband/father of the lady/son who bought a gun to kill him but the mom ended up shooting her son instead?

I expect us to see them both next episode as they are in hospital together.

The story Moss's father told about being interrogated in VN was wild.
