Honestly, I just feel kind of gross after all of this.

Well. It worked and because of reading this I tuned to watch his speech.

I'm not against the Oscars I just barely have time for anything like that in life right now but reading through it sounds like they are taking a hit ratings wise. I don't follow Hollywood stuff but what I get on this thread.

But Will Smith just walked out on stage and hit somebody on National television and now everybody is cool with it. What other part of life would that be ok other than Hollywood and eh Oscars?

A coach couldn't punch another coach and go on with his / her day. A news anchor? What other live TV would be OK with this?

I don't think this is helping the impression these people are out of touch with reality.

Pretty sure the Michigan basketball coach did this a couple of weeks ago, and didn't face any real consequences.

So maybe Hollywood isn't all that out of touch.

Agreed. Dude is trying to make himself out as a martyr as well. Would be nice to be afforded such latitude for such an act where the rest of us would be in handcuffs.

The saddest part of all of this is how he thought it was funny until he noticed Jada (of course) took it too personally and then he thought he needed to go hit the dude. Seriously? Absolute clownworld.

Nobody gave him a standing ovation 30 minutes later? He was suspended and it happened after the game. If it happened during the game he would have been tossed for sure.

Will Smith saying he wants to be a vessel for love fifteen minutes after hitting a guy live on international TV and then getting a standing ovation is just an incredible summation of what Hollywood’s all about.
