I agree with this take. I had no idea she had alopecia until tonight and kind of assumed maybe Chris Rock didn't know as well…but apparently this is common knowledge. I always just thought she shaved her head because she's JPS and nuttier than squirrel sh**. It's a mean messed up joke to make if you know about her condition.

If Will Smith doesn't leave in handcuffs I guess that means we can put the whole "white privilege" thing behind us, right?

That's not joking randomly about her… She was boycotting the Oscar's very publicly that year after saying it was due to racism among the voters that Will wasn't nominated for best actor after Concussion.

I think the backstory is that she sucks

I didn't even know the oscars were on, tonight, until I pulled up youtube and saw half my recommended videos being about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock. This is absolutely amazing.

Also, if Chris Rock doesn't press charges, there would be no arrest. Due to the situation, the status of both involved, and Chris rock needing to also save some face, it may look petty and vindictive if he presses charges for a single open handed slap. Granted, I don't care what auto immune disorder she has, a joke is still a joke. It's only "punching down" if the person doesn't have the ability or power to defend themselves.

And the twitter post about Denzel is just another illustration as to why he is one of the classiest men in Hollywood. Also a man of faith and not a left-wing nut. Funny how those things all go hand in hand...
