This episode and maybe the show as well just seems less polished than I'm used to

I feel like your first line describes just about everyone who still plays it at the late game level. They manage to take a fun core loop and bury it beneath a lot of bull**** game modes, unfun mechanics, overpriced packs, and buggy code.swimmerbabe11 said:
I hate that game. if not for discord friends and my boyfriend I'd be very over it.
I have a decent Shang chi.
Morgan Le Fay, What if Dr stange, 4 horseman of nose., mornings, Dr voodoo, all the releases now.

I don't know how I feel about the Moon Knight suit as a whole. It looks a little weird (hoods are hard to pull off) IMO, hearing Isaac's regular voice in it is weird, and it does the whole "turn off the mask for a dramatic moment thing, then back on before the action" trope too. Also - he can just get impaled and he's fine? And he has some enhanced strength?
Just kind of weird. It makes sense to make it mystic in origin rather than your standard Batman "make your own suit" thing - but its capabilities getting more and more vague and undefined as we go on.

Everyone knows they're really just humans with worms in their stomachs....Definitely Not A Cop said:
Seems pretty dumb the Egyptian gods didn't realize that Ethan Hawke has a tattoo on his arm showing his loyalty to Ammit during the trial.
If the tat can't be seen, he must get off clean!Definitely Not A Cop said:

Then you must not have much of an imagination
Moving the sky was an illusion of course, but big enough that everyone else saw it too. They showed random people in the city reacting to it.bobinator said:
I liked this episode and I'm really liking this series.
One thing that would normally bother me but in clearly in Phase 4 we need to just let some stuff go, is the eclipse and the night sky thing, I guess we're assuming those were both illusions? He didn't actually like, move the moon. And he certainly didn't rearrange the stars.
I took the "trial" scene to basically be like the other gods were mad they were brought there, don't believe Khonshu anyway, and just wanted to get the whole thing over with. They didn't notice the tattoo because they weren't even looking.
The third personality, which we did see in this episode, is interesting in that both Mark and Steven seem to think it's each other.
The line that he (paraphrasing) "had it under control until recently" makes me think the blip theory from a page ago might have some possibilities.
Ah OK, yeah, I do remember that. Thanks.jeffk said:
Steven and Mark kept arguing about who was doing the killing in the knife fights and both of them claimed innocence.
I'm leaning toward Marc probably being framed for the killing of Layla's father. Something happened and he ended up with some sort of trauma that ended with making a deal with Khonshu. Khonshu probably lied to him about whatever happened and convinced him that he killed Layla's father.bobinator said:
This also makes it seem like it was probably personality 3 that killed those people (including Layla's father?) that the fake policemen were talking about when they picked Mark/Steven up last episode.

I think Hawke and Isaac's performances are the big reason. They're both killing it.
The split personality thing could have been really hokey, but Isaac has made it heartbreaking.
I thought the same thing. This was the first scene in the show that completely lost me. It didn't make any sense to me, at all.bobinator said:
To be honest that whole trial thing was odd.
Khonshu can "see" what's happening whether it's Mark or Steven, yet he lawyers like a drunk Boston bro talking baseball. He just hollering wild accusations when he could have very easily laid out a case.
