For me it's been kind of the opposite of Loki. This one instantly grabbed me and intrigued me, but my interest has waned just a bit in the middle episodes, whereas Loki started pretty slow for me but got more and more interesting each episode.

I think episodes 5-6 will be great though. Same director as episode 1.

You guys are weird. I'm enjoying this one as much as I did Loki and Hawkeye, and thought this week's episode was the most exciting one yet.

These threads are always pretty nitpicky by default. (Said in no offense to complaints.) I'm a fan and am definitely enjoying it.

It's perfectly reasonable to enjoy a show while simultaneously recognizing its flaws. The recent episode had a few, but I really enjoyed watching it.

Yeah that's where I am. I'm really enjoying and liking the show, it's just got some "wait, why?" moments.

All of the Marvel shows have had this to some extent.

This story's been significantly tighter than The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. That plot was an absolute mess. It was only watchable because of the characters and the acting.

Loki got away with having a wild plot because they were able to just wave stuff away with the time loop/sacred timeline/whatever. A lot of what happens in that show doesn't really make sense, but it doesn't really have to.

For the first time I'm really struggling with a Marvel product. I haven't read comics since I was a kid but I knew enough about the main characters that I could be engaged in the stories without wondering "who the hell are you and where did you come from". Other than GOTG they have used mostly main stream characters and GOTG was so well done it didn't matter there.

Moon Knight is the first one for me that has lost me. I had no knowledge going in and it's so convoluted a story I'm struggling. The whole insane asylum/mental hospital bit has totally thrown me. I feel like I needed an origin segment.

The mental hospital bit is clearly intentionally disorienting. Just like the character is, we're supposed to be second-guessing whether or not everything that's happened is real or not.

I guess I don't get how this show is that confusing though, at least a high level. I think the specific mechanics of how the plot is working are murky, but like, big picture it's easy enough. Especially compared to a show like say, Legion.

I often wonder how many people are "multitasking" when they watch shows. A lot of complaints sound like simply not paying attention.

Just a hunch, but I bet Episode 4's ending will be explained in Episode 5 and/or 6.

For the LOST fans...the last scene in episode 4 is the same God that the statue depicted on the island. God of fertility.

The backstory episode I desperately needed to see for this show.

It's been a noble effort overall, to try something so weird and zany, and I've liked a lot of it, but I've basically become less and less interested with each episode, to the point where this latest episode did absolutely nothing for me. I'm just not a huge fan of big flashbacks or flashback episodes to when the hero was a kid or wherever, where we learn late in the game what makes them tick or all about the tragedy defined them. Feels like it kills all momentum.

Honestly, at this point, I'm glad there's only one episode left. Depending how this whole thing shakes out, I can't imagine ever wanting to see or being excited for Moon Knight showing up in the MCU again. In fact, I feel a bit like the Jeff Goldblum meme right now, asking, "Now, eventually, you do plan to have Moon Knight in your Moon Knight show, right?" Because five episodes in and we've hardly even seen him.

I'm with you here…. Was the episode bad, by all means no. In my opinion, the worst in the series. It was nearly an hour of show that felt like it did not move the plot of the show forward, and left more questions than when we started.

I think Oscar Isaac's acting in this episode alone was amazing, and very emotional. But there felt like a sold direction in all the episodes until this one it feels like it hits a brick wall, and starts to go in reverse.

Yeah, I just don't get it. Give us this info/do an episode like this earlier in the season. Don't save it for the penultimate episode, and bring the entire show to a screeching halt right before the big finale. Like you said, great performances, interesting ideas, decent episode in and of itself, etc. But overall, it's just not working for me. That, and none of it even remotely feels like the MCU. I don't need everything in the MCU to feel the same, but this is just too out there, and too schizophrenically told, that I've basically checked out at this point, and will be watching the finale only out of morbid curiosity.

Today's episode was a perfect example of how a series can take advantage of the extra time it has over a movie.

That was fantastic. Just the episode this show needed after last week, IMO. Oscar Isaac is so good. I think he earned himself an Emmy nomination with this episode.

Can't wait for the finale.

I couldn't disagree more with TCTTS, but that's OK. In my opinion, what this episode did was move the character toward victory - which in turn moves the plot. It was not working for Marc to beat harrow on his own, while fractured. He needed this to become whole in order to win. That's why this episode had to happen here, instead of earlier.

Now, having said that, I can't believe we only have 1 episode left. Doesn't seem like enough time. I thought the same thing about Loki, though, and that worked out.

Great, great acting in this one.

Glad someone agrees.

It legit confuses me that someone could think that was the worst episode of the series, much less a screenwriter.

This was a fantastic character developing episode. Definitely felt like a step away from the main plotline, but if this was a longer movie instead of a serial, it wouldn't have felt so out of place IMO.

To be fair, I do understand the complaint about moon knight not having moon night for multiple episodes. It's one of my biggest complaints about Iron man 3.

For some reason, I don't mind it here. Probably bc it's not a shorter story like a movie.

Agreed. This works much better in a series.

Just from these five episodes, he's already one of the most interesting and richly developed characters in the MCU. Blows my mind people wouldn't be excited to see more of him in the future.

Give me this character over Captain Marvel all day.

I am a bit bummed about what happens at the end though and I hope it's not permanent. The interactions between Marc and Steven are what make me love this character.

First, I have a hard time remembering that this is even MCU. I keep wanting to go to HBOMax first before remembering it's on Disney+

Second, as has been said, not enough Moon Knight, especially if next week is the finale of a one season show....which I didn't know until someone mentioned it. Which leads to....

Third, I like the exposition of this episode, but why now, right here at the end? If you ONLY have six episodes to work with, you've taken a very long road to get here. I can't imagine how the payoff is going to work now.

So I'll watch the finale for the curiosity/completion of it, but it's been disappointing to me, storywise.

Interesting, yes, but richly developed? Nope, not that I can see.

Don't we already know (or is it just a comic book thing and not the show) that there's at least one more guy in there? And the only hint of that in this episode is the one sarco****us that wiggled but didn't open and they left it alone.

Is there going to be a future for us to see more? Cuz I'm not getting enough "superhero" stuff so far.

Well, I'm not an expert, so.....

Doesn't "unanswered questions" indicate not fully developed? Esp. in a limited 6-ep series?
