Although I am watching this show while reading a book, I think it is a little messy between the bird skull ghost, Ethan Hawke and main character's three...four...personas.

Little help please.

Because we needed that scene were Harrow picks him up.

I think everything going on inside Mark/Steven/?? and Khonshu is intentionally confusing.

I loved when someone called Khonsu a pigeon.

Love this show.

Thought it was a cool move to reverse the roles and have Marc lose time to Steven this episode.

Heavy Bourne Ultimatum vibes in that Cairo footchase.

Have to say I'm kind of tired of the trope where nobody believes the main character and just take the villain on his word. So the trial scene bugged me. I feel like it happens a lot in movies and it's always frustrating since it feels so contrived to force the plot in a certain direction. But that's a criticism that goes beyond this series.

Can't be said enough, Oscar Isaac is fantastic.

One thing that I didn't understand was why that one Avatar brought Harrow back to show him Khonshu's stone statue. Harrow is no longer an Avatar. Why summon him back to the tribunal area to show him that.
I took that as an indication that maybe some of the other gods are in on Harrow's plan, which also makes the dismissal of the trial make more sense.

I don't know what the hell is going on, but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying it.

Especially when the one avatar brought him to see Konschu locked up.

Wouldn't the other gods know Harrow was Konshu's former avatar? Bringing him there could be just a "we're sorry he screwed with you so much, but look we took care of him."

You guys think Oscar Isaac is tired of filming in the Jordan desert by now?

(Star Wars, Dune, now MK)

He probably wants to go back to a basement drinking beers and weird dancing with hot Asian women

I swear there was a shot this past episode that was the exact same location where Rey, Finn, Poe & co look out over that festival or whatever, right after they arrive on that planet. Crazy that he's in all three of those projects.

Even crazier that it could be four if X-Men Apocalypse had shot in Jordan for Egypt.

From the looks of that movie, they probably shot Egypt against a green sheet at an abandoned Wendy's parking lot in the valley.

Maybe I haz the dum, but I don't understand the split-personality thing with Steve and Marc.

Are we supposed to know which one is real?

How does Marc apparently pull off working-then-dating-then-marrying Layla at the same time that Steven is apparently holding down a full time job in a gift shop, feeding a goldfish in his single nerd apartment, etc?

I don't think we know (or are supposed to know) which one is real, or rather the one that existed the longest. I also don't think they coexisted until recently. Meaning, Steven didn't move to London and get a job at the museum until after Mark ran off from Layla.

Not 100% sure on that point, though.

Define "real"

If you mean the first, Marc was married before Steven manifested. I agree with the screen crush guy that the 3rd personality is the one that was taking over from Stephen in London with the dating and the fish.

Was submitted to the Emmys as a limited series, so no plans for S2 it seems.

Here's my question. What happens if a a show wins for Best Limited Series, but they decide to do a S2 later?

It's not like they can revoke the award, right?

They can only revoke the award if someone slaps Oscar Isaac at the Oscars on live tv.
CNN is an enemy of the state and should be treated as such.

That happened with…Big Little Lies? With Reese Witherspoon? A few years ago. People got all in a tizzy

That's just Moon Knight.

His comics are pretty jarring, considering he has three personalities there and it just randomly jumps around. I'm guessing that the third one is Jake Lockley with a different twist, like Steven not being a Bruce Wayne type of character.

Everything will come to a head in the 5th episode, with even more making sense (hopefully).

I do think Marc is the primary, with him being taken advantage of by Khonshu on a dig gone wrong in which Layla's dad was killed (based on comments by Khonshu and Harrow).

Wouldn't it still be "limited" with 2 or 3 seasons?

All series are limited from a certain point of view.

True. Even ones that get canceled after a season or two.
