Here's more points: No warnings. No resistance by the cops near her. In fact, cops let them into the building.
Her family bout to get paid.
The window she crawled through was the last line barricade between the protesters and the legislators that were locked down and under protection of law enforcement. The protesters had entered the building without clearing security. I have no doubt the police were under strict shoot on site orders for anyone coming through that barricade.
It is an unfortunate circumstance, but the police today were as lenient as they possibly could have been under the circumstances. They let the protesters roam the halls so long as they did not try to enter the barricaded area where our elected officials were locked down, even knowing that the protesters might be armed since they had largely bypassed any sort of security screening.
Only one person tried to enter the barricaded area where the human targets were under police protection, and they paid for that mistake with their life. Had protesters not overwhelmed the security protocols at the Capitol, police probably would have had the luxury of arresting her instead of shooting her. But that's not what happened. Police has no choice but to assume the unauthorized intruders were armed. Police showed as much restraint today as they possibly could under the circumstances. This woman just went one step too far.
