What were USAID staff getting from the models in return?

USAID was also letting NGOs keep 25%+ of grant money for themselves for "overhead." USAID claimed it would be illegal to give Congress the info necessary to evaluate the appropriateness of that.https://t.co/7Fv5Xol8ZT

Quote:
IT. IS. ALL. A. SCAM.
Did you know that the "nonprofit" world--which is often extremely profitable for the people who work there or are their vendors--makes up about 10% of our workforce now and about 6% of our GDP? All of it is subsidized to some extent by the government, and much of it is directly funded by you and me.
Let that sink in. 13 million people work for nonprofits, and I assure you that few of them are out solving homelessness or working in soup kitchens.
Almost as bad as the raw numbers is the distorting effect on our policies and national conversations. When Joe Biden funnels billions into "climate change" activism, that distorts our politics by giving a bigger megaphone. When nonprofits fundraise for their causes or write grants, part of the sales pitch is that there is a crisis to solve and that they are the only people to solve it.
But the truth is that their business model depends upon NOT solving the problems. They get paid to work on them, not solve them. Their money depends on the crisis so they exacerbate it, not improve things. As with the California High-Speed Rail Project, getting the train built would cut off the tens of billions, so they keep puttering and not building the train while draining the taxpayers' pockets.
Norm Eisen stole $17 million of YOUR MONEY to “promote democracy” and used it for a muppet show.

I note this map is from 2017, so it's 8 years out of date (pre-Russiagate, pre-BLM, pre-J6, pre-Biden era) but to see this structure laid out so explicitly suggests there's a similar, more expanded network map at Democracy Alliance today

As we've seen, often the food money goes to the local dictator who then pockets it. Dems get to proudly proclaim they're feeding the poor while communist dictators get richer. No Spin Ag said:nortex97 said:

I hope they're ones that go to food for starving people. Not just for the people in need but for the farmers here that are relying on the contracts through USAID for their livelihoods as well.

Your thoughts on the farmers who are paid by USAID for the food that goes to those countries? They're being affected (losing out) as well.
I think we should return to the free market and not pay farms to feed other people in other counties. No Spin Ag said:techno-ag said:As we've seen, often the food money goes to the local dictator who then pockets it. My thoughts are there's no accountability for taxpayer money from USAID. How do you know the farmers are really getting the funds we say they are? Are the farmers slave labor for a communist dictator? Is 10% going back to the big guy?

The only one I saw was clintons daughter who provided about 11,000 meals at a cost of $1800 each.
Also isn't the UN supposed to be doing that along with probably hundreds of other non-profits?
