Press releases and announcements do not equal investment.
Do you believe that the made up company that announced they were investing 10 Billion to manufacture chips at RELLIS is actual investment? Of course not, because they haven't done anything and likely never will. Most of the announced investment is either to placate Trump or never actually going to happen.

We're in the third inning of a long game. Lets see how this plays out. We have major logistics shifts that just happened and the supply chain people are chicken littling right now. Were also getting negotiated trade deals and China went from no concessions ever to negotiating in Switzerland in less than a month. Too early to spike the football of Trumps brilliance or do aTDS dance around the bonfire of capitalisms ashes.

VIX (fear/volatility index) is back under 20.

Sorry for your losses, Democrats, but at least your friends the Chinese are happy. Hang Seng is now much higher than it was in Oct-Nov 2024.

The 90 day pause on a large percentage of the tariffs to China seems like Trump caving to the outside perspective. What did the tariffs with them actually do to help the US so far? I haven't seen evidence they gave up anything.

I actually predicted in another thread that the theme will be "Trump got played" despite any news to the contrary. It simply doesn't matter anymore, not that it ever did.

Anything Trump does is bad and the left must take the opposite side. It's why they are on the wrong side of so many 80-20 issues.

You can spin anything to look how you want and, since people are pre-disposed to believe one side over the other, people will accept the spin.

It's very similar to a trade in professional sports. Both sides say they won the trade and nobody will know who really won for years.

I'd say that's a win.
