Airing tmrw.

Should be a good challenge by Tucker, although not impressed by this gotcha clip. There are better ways to debate than resorting to putting someone on the spot with country stats....but guess it makes for a good teaser.

I used to love Tucker but the guy is nuttier than a fruitcake now. I think the Fox fallout completely wrecked him as a person. And I can't really blame him for that. He was ****ed over in that deal.

Definitely playing a stupid gotcha game. But Cruz should also know basic demographics of a country he's advocating for overthrowing.

It goes to show how desensitized we have become to such an endeavor we do it so frequently.

Yeah, he's really gone off the deep end with the whole foreign wars thing.

Sometimes, son, you have to fight.

Tucker making an ass of himself like always.

He might as well and come out and says he prefers our enemies to always be victorious.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

I dunno, I like Tucker now more than I ever did when he was at Fox when he had to spew the company narrative to get viewers. Not saying I agree with him on a ton but he seems to speak his mind more.

You don't need to know the exact population count or the precise percentage of Persian in their DNA.

All you have to know is that it's an oppressive Islamic regime widely hated by its people, murders its women for showing two strands of hair, tried to assassinate President Trump multiple times, were actively pursuing and close to acquiring nuclear weapons, and are funding and supporting terrorists worldwide.

Ted Cruz is a national treasure. Tucker Carlson is a grifting loser.

You've listed reason why to do it but you should know basic demographics to plan the outfall of overthrowing a government.

I support it and I don't know **** about Iran. Don't need to other than they are constantly on the offensive with Isreal, our ally.

The population question wasn't a "got ya", the subsequent question about percentage ethnic breakdown was.

Boosheet.
92mm or 20mm. Doesn't make a difference. When has Cruz said put boots on the ground?

Do you think Cruz knows Iran failed to abide by the last deal it made? You didn't, yet have been defending them all day!

Well you're also not a US senator lol. Anyone making such decisions to overthrow a government even if rightly justified should be planning and considering the outfall scenarios. Which are likely driven largely by demographics. That's just being prudent.

All of these politicians are out of their depth on essentially all foreign issues. They think they know because they get to see intel we don't, but that shouldn't make you an expert on the subject. Ted knows the constitution and should stay in his lane. These politicians just say what they're paid to say on just about everything, especially ranking members and the other high profile ones.

You don't need to know the exact population of a country when the war is justified. I'm sure most 18 year old kids didn't know to the population of Japan on December 7, 1941, but they were fully justified signing up the next day to kick some ass.

Let's say they have 2 million people that are militant islamists and have sworn to destroy Israel and the United States the first opportunity they get. They are actively pursuing a nuclear bomb in order to do it.

Or...

Let's say they have 1 billion people who look like a fish and like to walk on their hands who are militant islamists and have sworn to destroy Israel and the United States the first opportunity they get. They are actively pursuing a nuclear bomb in order to do it.

Which one of these scenarios makes a difference when deciding to destroy their ability to build a nuclear bomb or offensively attack anyone?

Hates Trump per text messages with co-workers at Fox and while in the process of saddling Fox with an $800 million judgement, used "nothing I say should be taken seriously" as a defense. And still much of MAGA eats up his bullsh/t…baffling (well, not really baffling so much as hilarious). Kudos to him though for making millions off of people who don't realize he just says whatever will make him the most money, whether it's true/he believes it.

Ted should probably know basic facts about the country he wants to topple. I certainly don't expect the average voter to know that, but I knew it. Most people who actually follow this stuff could at least give a ballpark figure. He's been in the US senate for 14 years, yet all he knows are his rehearsed talking points. It's embarrassing.

What about Gutfeld? He would rip Trump apart on The 5 before the first term. Sometimes people change their minds. That's a good thing.

Not when it comes to something as useless as a population table

Tucker reminds me of an elitist Northeastern Episcopalian. I know he is from Cali but his culture is inherently "Northeast Prep School." And it certainly comes across sometimes and he can't hide it. Even his peoples' country clubs wouldn't let Jews in at one time

How is that for understanding demographics?

The gotcha questions were bad, but Cruz really screwed up when he said "we" were fighting Iran. If we're truly fighting this war, Iran has casus belli against the USA

He's been pretty consistent in this stance for a while. Even pre departing fox.

I actually follow this stuff and I couldn't give a reliable ballpark figure. I have no idea how that's relevant to having an opinion on this.

A wise man once told me "never memorize that which you can look up".

Same. I've followed the Ukraine war religiously and I could tell you their population.

Why? Because it doesn't ****ing matter.

In the modern era? Yeah you should know who lives there and what their population is made of if you want to bomb them into the Stone Age. A politician not knowing this and wanting war with them, tells me they are bought and paid for as it's clear they don't actually care about the nation at all.

Of course it could also be because Holden bloodfeast is just that bloodthirsty and doesn't care who gets bombed so long as he gets to see people dying from bombs again before he dies.

His demeanor was arrogant, but Tucker is right.

An American Senator lobbying to bomb a country and he doesn't know their population or ethnic breakdown.
Iran is a slightly more complex scenario than "Mullahs bad, let's crank up the war machine"

Tucker is also right about spying. We should not allow any foreign nation to spy on us, regardless if they're an ally.

That's what you don't understand. Gutfeld is not playing to the FOX audience or doing what his bosses tell him to do. He is playing to the audience of Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert and John Stewart . That's why he is #1 in late night. We need more people like him on our team
