9 dead at a Jewish celebration of Hannukah on the beach.

one Muslim terrorist dead and one captured.

Australia through their weakness knew this would happen and did nothing.

now the same weak and woke leftists will be out on TV proclaiming how they are so sorry and "stand with the Jews"

the same Jews they did nothing for as their synagogues have been attacked, as Hamas has weekly rallies, as swastikas painted every where. as their government took a "neutral" stance against Hamas.

They will call for even more gun control and ignore the realities of the situation.

As the Mayor of New York City has stated:

"Globalize the Intifada!"

This is what it looks like.

It's ok to shoot a terrorist once you grab their shotgun. I guess not in Australia though. That brave citizen would have been locked up.

America- we saw what happens on 9/11 when you do this.

I live in Sydney, everyone is shaken up right now. I think it's the naive mindset that because they "solved" the gun problem in 1999 things like this would never happen. It's exceedingly rare, the last big gun incident was in 2014.

Are we sure they just weren't firing into the air in celebration?

I can remember when infantry guys came back from Nam, telling of how tough the Aussie soldiers were and that they were feared by the Viet Cong.

I'm guessing Candace Owens not going to have much to say about this tomorrow:

The muslims are all about strength. If you show weakness they attack. Unfortunately the left is unable to learn this lesson.

Trump needs to realize we stood by him, and his easing of immigration roundups and touting Chinese and Indian college grads should be able to stay and work, are undermining our nation. He wants quick fix to economy to get his numbers up, but screwing us with foreign, cheap labor.
We are well on our way to being Aussies. Mid terms are going to be brutal if he keeps this up.

I have to admit, I was glued to the TV for a number of hours during "The Sydney Siege" as a self proclaimed ISIS guy held off NSW Police at the Lindt Cafe for 12+ hours with a double barrel shotgun (yes, laughable by US standards).

Unfortunately, many Aussies would probably be offended that he didn't ask permission before taking the shotgun off the perp.

I, for one, am very troubled by this video. Other guy was still shooting, had no idea what else the first guy was carrying. Should have made sure the guy was totally incapacitated. Do you think out of ammo?

Otherwise, highest props to the guy, though.

Yeah and there still are a few tough Aussies but you have to consider that they only have about 25,000 people in their entire military these days.

So the number of certified badasses in Australia is probably less than 50.

Aussies are for big government, but they aren't *******. I think you are mistaking Australia with Canada.

Maybe I am wrong. I will be really interested in how this plays out in the Aussie press.

I wonder if Jim Jefferies is still in the same place:

I've read that the Pakistani community has been riding horses up and down this beach with their flag to terrorize the community for years.

The Australian government has deliberately imported this set of people. They brought over 3,000 Gazans (unvetted) after this happened on October 8th (caution, nsfw language/profanity):

I don't know why Aussies would be surprised this starts happening much more frequently now. That's like Americans being surprised there is fraud and corruption in the Somali community in Minneapolis, or the pending 2026 spike in violent crime in NYC.

I mean, it is pretty clear to me that the guy who disarmed that guy wasn't from Texas, otherwise the perp would have had two in the chest and one in the head, even if that required a reload.

Which makes the bravery part of this even more laudable in my book. This guy had no idea what he was doing, but had the courage to do something.

It is really clear that the hero was incapable of taking a human life that needed to be taken, but was still capable at putting his own life at risk to save others.

I'm not really troubled, per say, about the guys actions. It would have been better had the guy had some training on how to handle a mass shooter event, or at least thought about it before hand. But I'm not going to take one ounce of praise away from him for showing that amount of bravery, to attack, unarmed, a man with a shotgun.

This is definitely one of those - "let the situation develop" and let more details come out but, my first take is:

Where were the NSW Police at Bondi Beach during December?

Especially if there was some sort of religious gathering. Was this an organized event?

I've been to Bondi a number of times and in fact, spent some time there with my wife on the way out of the country 6 years ago.

When my daughters were taking the SAT test and stuff like that, I used to walk from the north part of Bondi where that video of everyone fleeing was filmed, down past the Icebergs and around the head to Tamarama. I've walked that ground.

How do we have two active shooters and no NSW Police presence or even professional Bondi Rescue Lifeguards from Waverly Council?

I assume there must be more camera angles that will emerge.

I can't quite tell the time of day looking at video on my phone but if this was around dusk, maybe the lifeguards had already gone home for the day.

Just like always with these cowardly mass shooters, they only hit areas where they know there will be no armed response.

Which reminds me, if these shooters are taken in to custody, the trial and prosecution will be a joke that Americans are not prepared for. Especially if they "show remorse".

I lived in Sydney's Northern Beaches for 12 years. From the end of 2007 to the beginning of 2020.

I've got a pretty good grasp of the Australian mindset (pre-Covid anyway).

taken place there instead. Sarcasm off.
