You can't look at everything from a short term perspective though, especially not religious zealotry, since it has been happening forever and will continue to happen long after we're all dead and gone. If you do, you'll get the current group-think that seems to be propagating throughout these forums - get rid of the other side.

It's not a short term perspective. It's a millenium and a half of data recorded in blood.

There is no equivalency that can be made under the general heading of religious zealotry betweenIslam and other religions. Violence under the label of zealotry committed by Buddhists, Christians, and Hindus is denounced universally by the leaders of those religions around the globe.

The inherently violent nature of Islam is a central feature of Islamic orthodoxy. It's the fringes. Muslims get violent when they start taking their scriptures. Beheading apostates and infidels, endless jihad, executing male prisoners, enslaving the conquered women and children of the conquered, dhimmitude and jizya, the term 'martyr' applied to mass murderes, are all doctrine from either the Koran or the hadiths that Muslims cannot renounce without placing themselves under judgment as an infidel.

Islam isn't like Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, or Judaism. It cannot simply coexist among other religions because jihad is an obligation to assert dominance over and then to eradicate competing religions by means of jihad.

Islam in its 'peaceful' state will over time decay into a state of jihad with the same certitude as the halflife of the nucleus of a radioactive isotope . It's going to happen, the only question is when. As we have seen with Britain, France, and all of the European countries that have allowed unassimilated Muslim ghettos to metastacize, the jihad is inevitable when the Muslims achieve a local majority if not sooner.

Well stated. Especially that first 2 lines.

I would be ok if 100% of them got to the place where they thought they were gonna get 72 virgins.

We can say they don't work and just leave people defenseless.

I would not give up my guns even if we have a mass shooting everyday of the year, but most of the gun violence in this country is suicide and by black males ages 16-24 in urban areas.

Damn shame None of the victims had the means and ability to shoot back.

Imagine a mass shooter on a Texas beach. Someone would be shooting back at him pretty soon…

Two interesting items in this story from FRANCE 24

1 - They're saying the bystander gun disarmer guy is Syrian
2 - The exaggerated Arabic pronunciation of his name is worse than all the over pronounced Spanish we see on American TV news these days.

7 News has new video of an old guy confronting the shooter father before the attacks began.

They're also reporting that these guys spent a month in the Philippines and had only returned to Australia 2 weeks ago.

For me, that raises all the questions again about Citizenship, Visas, etc.

It's only grainy dashcam video but worth a look.

It looks like the son shooter had already gone ahead and the father was behind and getting the rest of the guns out of the boot.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that in this video they said that two police officers were wounded and were currently in hospital

Australian leaders on Monday promised to strengthen the country's already restrictive gun laws in the wake of the weekend mass shooting at a Hanukkah celebration on Sydney's Bondi Beach that left 15 victims dead.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced several proposed actions, including one to limit the number of guns someone can own and a review of licenses held over time.

"The government is prepared to take whatever action is necessary. Included in that is the need for tougher gun laws," he said after meeting with his National Cabinet.

"If we need to toughen these up, if there's anything we can do, I'm certainly up for it," he added.

Other proposed actions include limiting the number of firearms any one person can have, requiring Australian citizenship as a condition for obtaining a firearms license, and limiting open-ended firearms licensing and the types of guns that are legal.

One of the guys was a retired cop who was active in the local Rugby Union Club

It doesn't matter if the vast majority do or dont.

The reality is a very large amount do share such radicalized beliefs and are willing to act on it snd it seems to be a global problem.

Islam is truly unique in that way.

It is also telling that this supposed majority that doesnt share these beliefs is damn near church mouse quiet after any savage cult murders like these.

I also get real tired of the "but the majority are peaceful!" bullsht mantra. Hey! Same with guns! The majority of guns never do harm so you are forbidden from touching them!

Somehow that same logic doesnt work on anything but shilling for and defending savages that want to kill you because you (not you, poster, you in general) would rather see your daughter gang raped and wife stoned to desth than be called a bigot or racist or whatever for calling a spade a spade. The left are nothing but ****s.

They're not church mouse quiet. They're actively campaigning to remind us of all the islamophobia they don't face everyday and how scared they are of the retaliation they've never faced for all of their brethren's crimes.

There really arent any prominent Muslim athletes or celebrities speaking out against radical Islam. If prompted and forced to respond, you may get a cookie cutter answer. But there is really no organic call to action from within, or recognition that the extremist attacks undermine their mission. Thats the big difference between Islam and other religions. Deep down the moderate Muslims recognize fundamentalists as more devout than evil, even if they dont condone their behavior. Its why they don't aggressively denounce it.

These clips show that it is very common for the elders to lead the cry for jihad. There is no mellowing with age, they carry this ideology for life. Maybe the younger ones carry out the attacks (yes, the Australian attack had an older father involved), but the elders are the ones leading from behind.

As many have said, nothing will change until the muslim communities step up, take accountability, and do something about it. I will not hold my breath for that to happen.

By far, the biggest threat to western society. If I am called an islamophobic, I don't care.

That's the thing though - these attacks in no way undermine the overall mission of that cult.

The mission of the savages is to conquer the world, and they are well on their way because limp wristed **** liberals the world over would rather be slaves than be called a bad name by somebody somehwere.

It truly is amazing to know that within about a 300 year span the cultures that literally created the world we live in, the fearless explorers, the conquistadors, etc. is completely dead and what it has been replaced by is exactly what those previous generations would have easily run over.

People ignorant of history believe the First Amendment is only there for "self defense against criminals"

when the REALITY is the Founding Fathers created the First Amendment to

PROTECT FROM GOVERNMENTAL DESPOTISM AND TYRANNY

so it doesn't matter how many gun crimes there are- when the fact that everyone has a weapon ensures the government will protect our rights.

is it better to be France in 1940? or to have no rights in Australia or New Zealand today? or live in any Central / South American narco-terror state? or some corrupt African nation?

much less Iran or North Korea?

It is estimated that 15% of Islam are active in Intifada, this in itself is a huge number of potential warriors. The other 85% are a best passive aggressive.

There are three terms that best explain our relationship to Islam:

1-Dar-al-Harb
2.Kafir
3. Dhimmis

We, you and I live in the Dar-al-Harb, as non-Muslim we are Kafir and as Christians or Jews we are Dhimmis. None of these are terms of endearment. They are meant to dehumanize and justify at best pet status in the Muslim world. They are not meant to 'love thy neighbor'.

It is foolish to ignore more than 1300 years of history, and we do so at our peril.

I would say that I would regret not having any guns when my own government came for me and put me in a camp like Australia did to their own citizens during COVID. I would also express regret not being able to defend myself against Muslims since my own government clearly values their murderous culture above Australian culture.

This mass terror attack is the consequence of the Australian government allowing mass immigration. Unfortunately, liberals will never learn this lesson because they want to import future voters at all costs.

Here is what I'll say:

Freedom is inherently dangerous. It is almost required to be dangerous. Because that is the nature of being free. But it is far better to be free and aware of the danger - and to be free and to have the ability to combat the danger - than it is to live or die at the whim of those that control your freedom.

Because in the world where you live and die at the whim of those unseen masters, you don't have freedom and you are but pets. Toys for their entertainment to be disposed of when they have decided that you no longer provide them with whatever usefulness they desire anymore.

Give me dangerous freedom every day, and twice on Sundays. Zero question about that at all. Anybody that says or thinks different really needs to evaluate how they view their purpose in life.

Australia now saying these two terrorists were motivated by Islamic State. Also, Jews need to quit hanging their hats on the term "anti-Semitism". Call this for what it is - Islamic Terrorism. Even in the face of the obvious they just cling to that term as if it's anything but Muslims doing this.

Quote:

A report from the Executive Council of Australian Jewry said there had been 1,654 antisemitic incidents in the 12 months from October 2024 through September 2025, about three times the total of any year before the Hamas-led attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.

It's not quite that simple.

The reality is actually worse than that but I'm on a plane taking off from IAH so I'll try to get behind a keyboard tonight to explain.

It's complex and as Americans our situation is similar but different. And for different reasons. Australia's motivation is closer to Canada.

Bolt action rifles and shotguns are "Weapons of mass destruction" and "Horrific, Massive Weapons".

No wonder there was no response from LEOs for 30min.

Having been to Australia several times I can assure you there are working class rural Aussies who also think their country has gone off the rails. Its a huge minority, as the cities and suburbs are totally overrun with woke mind virus infected zombies. Likewise, their corporate BODs and execs are virtue signaling losers doing land acknowledgments and pushing toxic DEI, which often gets overlooked.
