So called "Twelver Shia" believe that there is a 12th imam in a line descended from Muhammad who went into hiding in ~941 AD that will return to judge them at the end of the world. There is a mosque in Qom that is alleged to have been ordered to be built by the 12th imam while in hiding, and many of them believe that is where he will appear when he returns.

There were some unconfirmed reports on some open source intelligence accounts today which indicated the same. One person said more people have been killed in Tehran over the last day than during the entirety of the 12-day war in June. Information is going to be very foggy and unreliable though.

Yeah. I've been reluctant to post those reports but now a major publication is reporting this. And, yes, I'm aware it's Time magazine.
