That sucks. Hopefully that will be the worst that happens.

No - they're gone out of their way to avoid civilian casualties.

Nation Guard being attacked all over though.

All the civilians in the cars that were burned were escorted away.

Our friends out front of the OXXO that for torched yesterday said they came in w guns, had everyone leave and then popped it once everyone was gone and the store next door was empty.

Not saying they' arent bad but they do seem to be trying to minimize civilizan deaths and go only against the govt.

For now

One of yesterday's videos showed them stealing his semi, he ran away and they did shoot at him while following in a vehicle

If an American has been kidnapped this is going to get WAY hotter (captain obvious I know).

It's going to, anyway. This is just the beginning.

no they won't and that link doesn't exist anymore.

I feel like any nuclear bomb placed on eradicating the cartel should have some prep and disallowance of travel there. Why subject US citizens to what's coming or will happen?

More govt waste with extractions and impact? This is why I don't leave my home, much less the country.

If this is truly Mexico's stance, we should immediately put a 100% tariff on all remittances to Mexico, ban all American tourism to Mexico, and cut them off from any U.S. funding or support. We cannot tolerate having a narco state on our southern border.

Make her understand she's worried about the wrong entity.

Doubtless the entity she is most worried about is herself, and who can blame her. Whether she personally at some point comes to harbor in a "safe port" is highly speculative. That might broadly apply to all of us, in time. Bad caca, muchachos.

You can't get terrorism coverage on a residential property only commercial property because those losses are backstopped by the govt via TRIA.

So what has happened? There was violent retaliation for one day by the CJNG cartel and all of a sudden it has stopped. Who's calling the shots on dealing with this cartel? Was the Mexican army able to get this situation under control or did the cartel decide that they can't continue with the national disruption? To what extent was Trump and the US involved in this operation? Anyone with any thoughts on what happens next with our neighbor to the south?

So is it looking like this was a one day uprising and powers that be said you all need to chill - or is there more to come? It's certainly falling out of the news. At the airport this morning and it appears business as usual - 4 flights to Cancun, 3 to Guadalajara.

As much as the cartels want to uprise after an event like this, they do realize that if the US is behind this they have little they can do, if they bite the hand feeding them and it's over. The last thing they want to do is get our president and the US military involved, they would all have to go back to peddling baby goats and sheep for a living

I am curious if there's a deal being struck to clean up the CJNG, due it's deep ties to fentanyl and the PRC, and potentially leave other cartels (ala Sinaloa) alone.

I feel like I read somewhere that Sinaloa is out of the fentanyl trade and threatening to kill any of their subordinates that get into it.

Well that's not true.

Sounds like this one kinda fell in their lap. The courrier of his amante was flipped and gave them info of a meet up in a secluded part of Jalisco outside of his reinforced territory. They had eyes on him for 2 days before they went in. They waited for her to leave to go out to town and then attacked when it was just him and a much smaller and less armed group than normal (Still had Thermal rpgs etc but not the FULL arsenal/cartel block.

Similar to when they busted O Guzman after they had to release him in the battle of Culiacan.

No doubt that courrier was a US asset IMO.

O Guzman of the Chapitos is the One that really started the push into fent for the cartels.

They started it and CJNG ran with it because while they do alot of cocaine trafficing synthetics are easier and higher profit.

The Sinaloa cartel as Most americans think of it doesn't really exist anymore.

The Sinaloa cartel is now 2 factions. The Chapitos (Ivn and his brother - the 2 not in US custody) and La Mayizas which are loyal to Zambada. Given that one of the Chapitos is responsable for giving up El Mayo Zambada to the US, it's an under statement to say these 2 groups hate each other.

As such, the Chapitos have aligned themselves w the CJNG while La Mayizas are allied w El Chapo Isidro w is the reamining portion of the BLO.

Thus as far as the "Sinaloa" cartel not moving Fent, that's not true. The Chapitos/CJNG are knee deep in it as well as La Mayizas. It's money and easy money. That's Why Colima is the Most dangerous State in Mxico. Port of manzanillo brings in the precursors. They both/all want that hub.

That's Why you haven't seen as many plazas getting light up in Mxico since mid 2025. They are using each other and now there's alot of coopersrion between one faction of the "sinaloa" cartel that's probs 65-70% of the old cartel with whats been the largest cartel since Chapos capture. They're learningto juice the routes the best possible and working together more so than probs since the original Guadalajara cartel back in the 70s/80s.

Heck, Tamaulipas has One If lowest murder rates in Mexico now. That's Not because Mexican govt did anything.

Very sad to see. Mexico was a cool place. Use to spend summers visiting my grandparents in Durango, Mexico, in the 70s and 80s. Drug trade was obviously there but the violence was kept in check by the Herrera family who controlled the area. Situation was more like how the Irish and Italian mobsters use to roll. Way too many nihilists involved now.

Two spirit. It's the gay term for their Indians / Native Canadians. Whatever they call them.

In other words, it's a mystical way for them to claim they can be both male and female at the same time as in Trans.

Now they are claiming "mythical gay Indians" that don't exist?

Seen several people report the Mexico army and navy were working with the USA and not their own president to kill the leader of CJNG. I don't think this is going to be a 48-72 hour war.

I also think everything happening the past month is all connected. We have known since around 2012 that Hezbollah and the cartels have been training together in south America in places like Venezuela. Venezuela has known links to China, Russia, and Iran. The cartels have been probing the border with drones and come to find out they sent people to Ukraine to learn drone warfare.

I would not be surprised if taking down Maduro starting this domino effect. Both Venezuela and Iran lost a lot of money that day, the USA is putting a lot of pressure on Iran, the cartels try something around the border and we have to shut airspace down, and now the USA is working directly with the Mexican military without approval of their president.

Crazy times

Official word is the US military helped the out. Word on the street is that ICE was deep into this.
