They are probably kicking themselves for not choosing to take advantage of the visa-free travel to China that Mark Carney negotiated for them.

It would be particularly ironic if stranded Canadian tourists were extricated by US forces at the request of their government. It isn't exactly within the capability set of tha Canadian military to do NEO operations of their citizens from on ****hole country back to their own ****hole country.
