The cartels are going to provide the prez of Mexico the perfect opening to ask for assistance from the US Military.

Not a smart move by them. They've always had the unfair fire power advantage, That's fixing to flip.

There is about to be a surge at the border. Things should be handled better this time around.

Not being ugly but I don't think two weeks will be sufficient time for everything to be hunky dory down there. It wasn't exactly fantastic down there for quite some time but after this, I think it will take quite awhile for it to simmer down to even that level.

Correct, but Cabo for now may not be any different than it was yesterday. The fighting right now is a different group, that doesn't mean it won't expand

Pemex is owned by the government, and stealing gas has been very profitable for the cartels. Definitely trying to send a message.

The US is probably gathering all kinds of Satelite intelligence right now, since all the cockroaches came out of their hideouts and causing problems all over...Now they'll probably know where they hide, keep all their weapons, etc...

Even when Obama was president... There was a cartel flare up along the US border. As I recall there were a couple incidents of bullets crossing the river and Obamas meet mention of US Marines dinner things down immediately.

The castle knew exactly who they didn't want to fight

I can not even imagine what will happen if CJNJ does go into hotels at 5pm

I dont think they are that stupid but all it takes are a couple idiots and I'm sure there's more than a couple idiots on drugs with guns in the cartels

I guarantee the other cartels are extremely agitated and anxious over this "burn it all down" approach by the Jalisco cartel. No way they are rooting for this. Or maybe they really are that stupid and reckless. Hard to get into the minds of a bunch of illiterate blood thirsty psychopaths.

This has happened many times in previous decades

In each circumstance, violence in Mexico increased dramatically due to power vacuum

Cartels have too much power, money, and influence to ever be completely destroyed

Mexico stable is the cartels at peace, the government, police & army on the take and the rest of the world buying their drugs.

It's going to take an El Salvador type effort to clean up the place and that ain't happening. Corruption is endemic and pervasive.

Indeed. This could be just the political cover she needs to ask for American reinforcements. This could be really interesting.

This assumes they want help from the US military. They don't. They don't want to cutoff the money train.

They'll give up this guy but it's all performative. I'm sure the Mexican govt already has a deal made with the next guy.

How do people still not understand this?

Didn't realize he was a commie.
We'll win this war, but we'll win it only by fighting and by showing the Germans that we've got more guts than they have, or ever will have. We're not going to just shoot the sons-of-b******, were going to rip out their living G*******d guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks. We're going to murder those lousy Hun c********** by the bushel-f****** basket. War is a bloody killing business. You've got to spill their blood or they will spill yours. Rip them up the belly. Shot them in the guts.

I 100% agree. I'm sure we have a plan to stabilize things and clean them up.
