NFL is as chaotic as it's ever been. Let's buckle up and see what the Cowboys can do. I don't expect much, but that doesn't mean I can't have fun watching them.

Yup. Another example was watching King Henry rush for a Buck-99 tonight knowing he wanted to be in Dallas but rather than find a way to sign him to the roster, Jerry took the cheap and easy way out and brought back Zeke.

In all fairness, I didn't want Henry here either. He looked like he had lost a step and ever since Big Mike got here our running lanes have been mostly non existent. I felt like we needed burst guy... Henry would not have had time to get momentum going with our blocking schemes.
But... in hindsight, yeah, he would have been a huge upgrade over what we have.
From a contractual standpoint... Henry is at 5 mil this year and over 10 next year. Zeke is a 2 mil one year deal.
I don't know that I would have been in on Henry in the offseason. Maybe on a short deal..

And King Henry did look slow on that 85 yard run Sunday. Imagine how much better life with Dak would be with Henry back there…really makes you question Jerry's commitment to winning.

Well... I've been saying/thinking it for a couple years now. Stop trying to establish the run... just throw the damn ball and make the defense back up. Will help open up the running game a bit more and will play to our strengths.
If getting Amari Cooper makes this offense cook in that way then I'm all for it. It will not cost a premium draft pick to make it happen.

Idk how the money would work (if at all), but I'd much rather go get someone like Tyreek Hill. The dolphins are going to maybe be the worst team in the league this season because of the QB situation, so see if he's available. This offense needs impact players, not an aged Amari Cooper.
A guy I'd like for Dallas to kick the tires is Etienne at Jax. They just wen 0-4. He's in his last year of his deal. They might be willing to sell him for a 3rd or 4th.

I dunno. He's coming off two straight 1,200 yard seasons. He had a 90 yard TD called back on a holding call last week. Dude still has it.

Cincy is decent and so is Arizona.
Their wins are more impressive than wins over the Giants and Browns.
Washington's defense is suspect, but so is the Cowboys.

Tyreek and Amari are the same age
Fair, but one of them is perhaps the greatest modern day NFL WR we've seen and the other we traded to get him out of town.
Hill will never happen. He's too expensive. Cooper on the other hand is affordable and still very productive. Would be a perfect fit in this offense with Lamb.

I'm all for getting more weapons. Still think DT is going to be a huge issue all year. Those guys are hard to come by though.
Yeah you said it. DTs who would actually make an impact here are probably not getting traded because they are way too valuable. The only guys who I would think might be available are Jeffery Simmons with the Titans and Derrick Brown with the Panthers, but Derrick Brown isn't going to play this season, and you're probably giving up a 1 and then some for both guys.
