If the Deion hire goes south, Jerry will be a laughing stock forever. Just too much risk.

Witten would be a good hire with some risk but huge future upside, popularity and potential

KM is a safe hire.

Jerry will bask in this attention and ultimately hire KM.

Best hire IMO : Johnson.

Witten has only coached high school ball. Deion has run programs and put together staffs that include guys like Mike Zimmer.

QB guru who could possibly elevate Dak
Previous head coaching experience
Texas guy
Good on TV
hurts Washington
meek enough to let Jerry run him.

I don't think a QB guru is going to do much for Dak. He's a seasoned veteran with good stats. He's basically Matt Stafford prior to the Rams trade. It's not like he's a rookie that needs someone to show him how to succeed in the NFL. There's a lot of room for improvement when it comes to scheming our offense, I just wouldn't expect to see an improvement in Dak. At this point he is what he is

Agree. But you know, I do think there is one area Dak could focus that would really enhance his remaining years.

The dude looks jacked. He looks like he's almost too muscled up, and he looks like his flexibility has suffered. He looks like he could stand to maybe lose a bit of muscle mass and work on more flexibility type stuff. Anyone else think he looks a bit too much like a LBer?

Interesting you say that as I think Stafford changed his training regiment when he got to LA and got older. Started working more in a pool and doing yoga to have more flexibility as he aged. Obviously he was never as huge as Dak, but might be a similar philosophy

Kellen Moore would be a terrible hire. I wouldn't invite him back as OC, much less head coach. He looks like a ***** too. That rules him out in my book before even considering his resume.

Jerry knows Deion would steal the limelight and he's not doing that again. You gotta coach here under the Jones PR umbrella and never venture off. Deion can't and won't do that.

Kellen Moore checks every box, especially taking on Witten. This is setting up the future before anything unfolds. Just like with the Raiders, no one who is a successful head coach is gonna take this job. We will always get the young, unproven coordinator going forward, someone who will play the Jones Family game.

Tom Landry and Tex Schramm are rolling over again in their graves.

Which is insane. What self-respecting coach wants to take on a mentor-your-replacement situation? Coaches in waiting rarely work even when you have an old-timer coach. The only scenario I could see that having any chance is if Pete Carroll is the hire.

first year. they'll figure it out. vick had to put on weight to withstand the hits. tua did too and he's had more concussions than I can count. even kyler had to put on weight after first year.

He's going to hire Kliff or Kellen from one of those teams and exclaim how brilliant he is. Even though Eagles fans would be pleased we take Kellen off their hands and Kliff has a track record of collapses in November as a HC.
